Shame that she only shows up for a few scenes in DMC4.

I'm going to stick with the DMC series. Bayonetta looks dookie.
i'm just gonna play the demo and see what i think
going by the combo system it needs very little done on the players side
i hate when a game lands 30+ hits and you pressed only 3 buttons

Lady looked better in DMC3, in 4 they oversexed her so much, it was stupid. In 3 she was hot, but in a much more subtle way.

Oh sure she was hot, but I like her look in 4 better, not because of the cleavage though. In the close ups of her face she looks even more beautiful than she did before.

Didn't think much of the Vanquish demo. Plus it's apparently really short. Like, 4 or 5 hours of gameplay time in a single run through (along with a few hours of cutscenes). I have no idea what kind of post game content there is though.

DMC wasn't all that long, and i'm sure bayonetta isn't all that long either.
All these games are meant to be replayed on the higher difficulties so its not really a problem

Yeah, but Vanquish is very solidly rooted as an over-the-shoulder 3rd person shooter. The appeal of replaying these games is that you have a lot more weapons and abilities the second time through. Other than the boost thing, I'm not sure what Vanquish has to offer.

From what i heard the set pieces were unique and there's no repetition in the game which is quite the achievement for a shooter, that said i can't really imagine playing it more then 3/4 times.

I've heard loads of different things about the length with the lowest being two hours and the highest eight. I should be getting it today so I'll let you know how long it actually takes.

It's basically someone who's really good making a mockery of some of the toughest regular enemies in the game. It may be utterly mad, but the combat in this game has so much depth it makes God of War look like Dragon's Lair.

That first part is just mental. He stays in the air for almost the entire Verse.

I have to say that the part against Jeanne was pretty crazy, too.

I know. He kept the same combo going through the whole fight with dodge offsets and Wicked Weaves and everything. Most of the time I forget that shooting dodge is even possible. Finishing the second part of the battle 7 seconds is just silly though.

Didn't even see the Jeanne fight the first time... No damage!? He must be insanely good at the game to avoid every single one of Jeanne's attacks. Lord knows I got my arse kicked a few times in that fight.
I never bothered trying to learn dodge offset too much; seemed like it's something you'd only need if you were trying to 100% the game. Me, I was happy just to get through it.

No damage is required for Pure Platinum. There's a Youtube guide of someone PPing the entire game on the highest difficulty level. But that guy played very practically, not nearly as flashy as in that video.

About 10 different ones, and you can get two of some of them so you can equip them to hands and feet at the same time. For each gun-type weapon you can buy another set, and the Durga claws you can buy another set as well. And you have two weapon sets active at any time that you switch between with a shoulder button.

I gotta admit you guys are making this sound appealing even if the fruity music and butterfly wings did put me off quite a bit.

You can pick up enemy weapons when the drop too. They only drop when you finish with a Torture Attack though, and they only last for a few hits, but it adds variety.

And they often do good damage, which allows for quick kills and platinum awards.
