| Alright i tried out the demo, let me say despite my views i know this will be a big hit. This is a game for casual gamers and not hardcore ones in my opinion.
first up i'll address the port, as i played this on ps3, the strange thing i noticed about the frame rate is it actually not that bad in battle where the frame rate looks bad is in the cameras while roaming the normal areas and things look a bit crap while spinning the camera in the more scenic areas, overall i didn't feel it effected gameplay at all
lets talk graphics as this is where the games been praised, the graphics are great and it is a very nice looking game while bayonetta (i assume thats her name) does her thing theres lots of nice swirling and flashing effects which look interesting, but there are some really shitty effects tacked on to this game to show its hero is a girl. Like why are butterflies appearing every time i touch the floor, this felt out of place the other one is she grows butterfly wings when you double jump, i mean seriously ewwww, what the hell is this?
alright if you hadn't guessed already i wasn't a fan, so as i'm one of the few who hasn't been blinded by glaring flaws in the gameplay. First up the combos the fighting system press a few buttons and bayonetta dances around and pulls off a 50 hit combo, the problem with this i only presssed all of 5 buttons. This game does not feel like your playing it whatsoever. You can also keep a combo going infinitely by pressing one button and changing weapon mid combo. I mean don't get me wrong there is a good mix of combos but the impact is done so poorly that you don't feel like you've done anything. The enemies appeared to be brick walled meaning you can't strategically push back foes to concentrate on specific ones, so regardless of your hits you can't really stun them meaning you dodge mid combo due to the danger sign (yes in normal difficulty this game tells you when to dodge). This then starts off bullet time, i mean everytime i dodged in this game i activated bullet time (this is meant to only occur if you time dodges perfectly, this seems way to easy).
We've all heard the thing about the protagonist being unattractive, but until i played the demo i did not realise how sexy they were trying to make this character and failed abysmally, this alone will make you cringe. Her hips are in your face, she "climaxes" mid battle and loses all her clothes (yes thats the games wording). you literally lose all your clothes during combos. This totally derails the game i mean the reason this sounded interesting was due to the fighting system, except everytime i pull off a combo i feel like a perv. Seriously if you can play this game in front of other ppl you really must have done some embarassing shit in front of them, cause you may as well just be watching hentai.

Many people have been saying this. They've said it only affects cutscenes and a bit of the scenery. - Quote :

This is the one thing that will turn me off about the gameplay. Seriously, Platinum, what were you guys fucking thinking?

| you really should play the demo
but yeah it looked like a ps3 game it didn't play like one you'll feel like its a big step back from DMC
i get the impression they tried to combine viewtiful joe and dmc
and i wouldn't be turned off by the graphical problems if you enjoy the gameplay i'd say just get it

This is the one thing that will turn me off about the gameplay. Seriously, Platinum, what were you guys fucking thinking? oh and other fucked up game quirks i forgot to mention 1 she places poles on the ground and does a stripper dance attack around them 2 she can pull a guilotine out of the ground and use this to decapitate villains, totally breaking game flow 3 gameplay is full of quick time events normally ending with her landing in another erotic pose 4 basically all moves will end up showing flexibility and perverted poses

| None of that made the game less fun to me. Still, most likely won't buy it anyway, just because it's not a genre I like that much. | |

| Since I can't play the demo I'm going to get the game.
However, I expect absolutely nothing from the plot or characters, especially since Lowenthal voices a main guy.

Normal requires you to build your combo, while Easy simply requires you only to mash a button or two.
