Again, I'll see how it is myself. Especially considering the guys who made Devil May Cry made this game too, so I'm expecting great gameplay with a fun combo system, and I'm not the kind of guy to let talking about dropping frame rates ruin that for him.

well its your choice
and your a huge DMC fan so a game like dmc would probably appeal to you
on the other side of things fast paced games + frame rate issues is hardly a good combination

But really, I am not about shell out 200+ dollars for a 360 for a good version of this game when I just bought a god damned Wii. I'm going to get the PS3 Version and see how it works and hope that a patch for Bayonetta is released.

But I'm disappointed in Platinum Games from hearing about this.

Oh it's a great game, sure. More than fun that NGS2, based on the demos. It just wasn't built to be on the PS3.

From what I've been reading, not that many people had frame rate drops in actual combat, only in cutscenes and the load times are longer than expected but the game still does run well.

Hmm, I was kind of disheartened to hear but to know that it's not that bad raises my spirits.

well obviously you don't want to do that
but buying a bad port on day of release will hardly encourage a patch to be released
sega has hardly been the greatest company in terms of doing things for the fans lately

you probably should check out the 360 and ps3 versions before you buy it
i doubt anyone wants to play a bad port of a game, which doesn't do the game justice

Sega is the publisher, Platinum Games are the actual developers.

And Platinum Games handed the PS3 version over to Sega. They made the game with 360's specific hardware quirks in mind, which was why porting it was such a bitch and why the result is so bad.

And a patch would be unlikely, given the nature of the problems.

sega was in control of the port from what was said in the topic earlier
didn't sound like the same company did the port

either way unless sales are effected nothing would mean they'd have to release a patch

i mean oblivion was a huge selling game and there's no patch for that vampire glitch

Well, all sings point to it being developed as a 360 exclusive, with Sega coming in and offering to port it to make a quick buck.
