I'm starting to believe the only improvement(s) this one has to "Web of Shadows" are the voices of Spider-Men & the Stealth applying combat in the Noir Universe

You really think this isn't going to be different from Web of Shadows? Especially considering this is a different developer. This looks like it's going back to the old Beat 'em up fun of the PS1 games, I'm fucking excited.
OH and new launch trailer.

That looks awesome. I'm definitely going to check out that game, even though I haven't read that much Spiderman.
Weird hearing NPH's Spidey after just watching a HIMYM episode.

Woah, it's out September 7th? That's just a few days away. Won't be getting that on release day then.

Luckily it comes out a little more later here. That gives me time to enjoy BBS without worrying about Spidey SD being out at the same time.

Oh, it's the 10th for the UK. Still, won't be getting it straight away. I might wait to see if I can get it used just to avoid giving money to Activision. Hopefully there's a demo down the line though.

Why is it released so late in Australia?

Because Australians have some of the most fucked release dates. Yahtzee mentioned something about not getting Rock Band until 2009 over there.
Anyways, I already payed off my pre-order, so I guess I'd be willing to describe my experience if you're cautious of buying it straight away.

That's what I want to know about Enslaved. It looks like a cool game, in fact it looks pretty much like a current gen Jak & Daxter to me. With the platforming and the environments, and the hover board/cloud. And those games had replay value because they had cool collectibles and a cheat menu to unlock and stuff. Well, the first one didn't, and that had replay value just because it was awesome. I think I played the first one more times than the 2nd or 3rd one. I think the first J&D game has my favourite game environments of all time.
...But anyway, I want Enslaved to have stuff like that. Like, there's a classic Monkey outfit in the game, but it's a GAME pre-order bonus. Which is bullshit, and it really annoyed me. That's the kind of thing that should just be in the game, as a reward for completing it or whatever.

It's not as bad as it used to be though, after the jump to the current gen consoles that is. It's surprising how this release got such a bullshit date at the end of this month though.

Yeah i get what you mean games these days have fuck all in terms of unlockables and cheats or even rewards. I mean sure you can unlock stuff on your first playthrough but thats it. I remember the RE games on PSX had loads of stuff you could unlock from multiple playthroughs i.e. extra characters or weapons.
The PSX spidey games had shitloads of unlockable outfits. Instead all alternate outfits seem to be DLC you pay for. Its shit.

Actually the Cosmic Costume in this is the only costume you have to pre-order for.
Spidey has five other costumes you can unlock from the game or pre-order from other places to get the code to unlock them instantly.

The EBgames here STILL hasn't put up the pre-order Cosmic Spidey code. Hopefully it'll be put up at the last minute, like during the week prior to release here.

Apparently one of Amazing Spidey's alternate costumes unlocked in the game is his Bagman one, the one from IIRC was when he had to wear a Fantastic 4 uniform and a bag over his head after giving his black suit to the F4 for studying.

It's mostly another "Beat 'Em Up", nearly all you do is move and kick some ass At least it's funny, the jokes are funny, not just corny Other stuff to do that aren't ass kicking: Spider-Man 2099 speed fall Noir's thing is stealth to kick ass, so nothing different
Did you guys know that the Noir one is as old as "Ultimate Spider-Man"?
Spider-Man (PS2) had the exact same shit from the PS1 games, Spider-Man 2's combat was very lackluster, Friend or Foe was ehhhhh, and Spider-Man is the coup de grace of crap gameplay.
Web of Shadows was the first Spider-Man game in years that was actually fun to play and Shattered Dimensions finally made it the best gameplay in the series by giving enough things to do with combos and webs.

So there's a crapload of variety in the moveset in this? I mean, already expected a lot since we have four freaking Spidies to play as, but in terms of just one of them, do they each have a LOT of moves on their own?

Technically speaking, they do share the exact same button combos, although they at least have the decency to change the aesthetic of each Spiderman. For example, heavy attacks for Amazing feature web-based moves like web hammers, Ultimate will smash symbiont tentacles, 2099 does heavy kicks, and Noir has good ol' fisticuffs. Bigger differences show up in the charge and launch attacks, such as Amazing's super Web Ball versus Ultimate turning himself into a pincushion of symbiont spikes.

They have the same movesets but their actually attacks differ in what they do.
For instance, charge attacks.
Amazing's is a web ball that hits multiple enemies and webs them up too, 2099's is a super dash that hits multiple enemies and does shitloads to them, Noir's is a super punch that hits hard and fast but the direction is a bit of a bitch to get sometimes and Ultimate's hits in an area around him to keep crowd control seeing as he is the one who always fights more than 10 enemies at once.
