| Tried out the demo today... and boy, was I surprised. I usually don't care that much for action/adventure hack'n'slashers. Ninja Gaiden and Bayonetta didn't appeal to me in the slightest. I wasn't that big on God of War, and even Force Unleashed had it's fair chunk of "meh". Dante's Inferno, though... well, pardon the pun, but HELL YEAH!
I don't know why I like this one so much. Maybe it's the story, or the visual design, or the wielding of Death's scythe, or the Christian aesthetic, or the titties, or the "punish/absolve" options when finishing enemies. Whatever it is, I really, really like this game. If I can get this game into my house, I'm totally adding it to my library.

I agree, but I still abide by house rules. Fortunately, my mom at least is acknowledging my age when it comes to certain things. Age 17, she wouldn't like me seeing "Rocky Horror Picture Show"; now, age 20, she couldn't care less. Furthermore, they haven't said anything about my increased requests for M-rated games. Still, that doesn't mean I shouldn't take precautions; there's no way my aunt would get me Assassin's Creed 2 for Christmas by the title alone, so I clarified that "it isn't senseless murder; it's Venician intruige".

| The Dante's Inferno Test has sent you to the First Level of Hell - Limbo! Here is how you matched up against all the levels: Take the Dante's Inferno Hell TestYour fate has been decided.... You are one of the lucky ones! Because of your virtue and beliefs, you have escaped eternal punishment. You are sent to the First Level of Hell - Limbo! First Level of Hell - Limbo Charon ushers you across the river Acheron, and you find yourself upon the brink of grief's abysmal valley. You are in Limbo, a place of sorrow without torment. You encounter a seven-walled castle, and within those walls you find rolling fresh meadows illuminated by the light of reason, whereabout many shades dwell. These are the virtuous pagans, the great philosophers and authors, unbaptised children, and others unfit to enter the kingdom of heaven. You share company with Caesar, Homer, Virgil, Socrates, and Aristotle. There is no punishment here, and the atmosphere is peaceful, yet sad. | |

- You approach Satan's wretched city where you behold a wide plain surrounded by iron walls. Before you are fields full of distress and torment terrible. Burning tombs are littered about the landscape. Inside these flaming sepulchers suffer the heretics, failing to believe in God and the afterlife, who make themselves audible by doleful sighs. You will join the wicked that lie here, and will be offered no respite. The three infernal Furies stained with blood, with limbs of women and hair of serpents, dwell in this circle of Hell.
The Dante's Inferno Test has banished you to the Sixth Level of Hell - The City of Dis!Here is how you matched up against all the levels: Take the Dante Inferno Hell Test

| I just played the demo, and I liked it too. I mean, yeah, it is basically exactly the same gameplay as God of War (and I mean EX-FUCKING-ACTLY the same. Seriously, give Dante a Kratos skin and you wouldn't know that you weren't playing God of War), but I preferred it to the GoW3 demo. The Christian mythology thing is just more interesting than the Greek stuff, and visually it was more interesting, although not as technically impressive. | |

| Also, what exactly does the Holy/Unholy system do? You get Holy points for Absolving enemies and Unholy points for Punishing them, which fill up two little bars, but I have no idea what they do when they're full. | |
