| They're fast and powerful. The square counter is great for dismembering. You can dash during the combos and that leads into other stuff. The ultimate technique is probably second only to the Staff. | |

| Cool, i've heard they did some really awesome stuff so you've probably just scratched the surface, you should stick with them. | |

| I'm going to go through Chapter Challenge doing each one on Acolyte and Warrior to get the costumes, and then maybe I'll try Mentor, if I'm not playing anything else by then. Done the first two chapters. Warrior isn't much a of step up from Acolyte. | |

| Getting a Master Ninja rank on Chapter Challenge seems incredibly easy. | |

| I think you just need to get through without dying. | |

| Well there's costumes for getting Master Ninja on 10, 20, and 30 chapters, so going through each one Acolyte and Warrior is enough for that thankfully. The duel swords and tonfas are my favourite weapons. Enma's Fang and the staff are okay, but other than the Dragon Sword I don't really get on with any of the other weapons. | |

TAke that back Enma's fang saved our butt multiple times, admittedly its not the most grateful weapon buts its beautiful in its abusability.

| That's only because of it's UT. For basic combat against regular enemies it's awkward. I have trouble figuring out where I am in combos with the staff because it just twirls all over the place and I lose track of what I've pressed. | |

| The staff can be a bit funny but it is a easy enough weapon to use effectively it rarely leaves you exposed compared to combos of some of the other weapons.
Is there any nunchukas in this or are the flails the equivalent.

Well kinda except the middle bit extends all over the shop so they don't actually play like nunchukas.

| Are you thinking of the one with a long chain with a knife on one end and a spiked ball on the other end? | |

| If you can do Acolyte you'll be able to do Warrior. There's a few more enemies and bosses are a bit harder but other than that there's no noticeable difference | |

| Started on Mentor. It's more in line with what I was expecting given NG's reputation. It's not too bad right now but throw's do a lot more damage, even if you shake them off immediately, and the explosion shuriken the enemies have are annoying. | |

| Actually, the claws are pretty good too. Flying Swallow combos into Izuna Drop, forward+square is like a mini UT when it hits, forward+triangle is a proper dash attack. There's a lot more movement in it's attacks that most other weapons. | |

| I discovered the claws's major weakness. The UT is rubbish. | |

| Finished the chapter challenges on Acolyte and Warrior. Got the weapon selection down to claws for human sized enemies and dual swords for everything else, although the forward+square move is great for fiend bosses. Feel like I'm done with the game now. Mentor feels like it's going to get ridiculous by the end and I can't be bothered with it. | |

| Of course not. I didn't even get a Master Ninja rank on the final story chapter. Got a Mentor rank for whatever reason. Maybe I used too many items or spells or something. | |
