Well since you already played vlr you'll know what this is like and how it plays out pluzzles and all. and like the zero escape (series?) no 3 of Dangan ronpa has not yet been made. (even though its been anounced I never bothered to call it dangan ronpa series as its unknown if 1.5) and 2 will even be brought here. Thats....gonna be tough ..... kay i'll try n refrain from spoilers

Oh i was talking about tagging spoilers. VLR was great and if this is even half the game that was it would be pretty annoying to be spoiled for it. You've used spoilers in your sig so i'm sure you know how to use them.

I've been playing this and spent almost an hour dropping 100 Monobear coins into the fucking Monomono machine, this game is liberal with giving you these things for trials.

Just spent 5 minutes searching for this topic before I realised the name had been changed.
Anyway I beat this and it was great, will school mode let me make Aoi mai waifu or is it not worth playing?

My only regret is I had to play through the story to unlock what is clearly the superior Danganronpa experience.

Baal how long is this compared to VLR?
Also is the post game just a dating sim or is it good for plot related info?
I'll probably grab this later in the year, I want YS more than this, but Toukiden is eating up all my time.

VLR is significantly longer, there's no comparison. You can finish DR in about 20-30 hours, VLR took me 40-50, god that game was long.
The School Mode stuff has more to it than Dating Sim stuff, but the Dating Sim is basically the main feature as it gives more info on the characters as a whole and allows for some closure on their characters. The other non-Dating Sim stuff is basically gaining materials to make other copies of Monokuma since he has no spare bodies and wants you to make them, I find this pretty fun, but maybe I'm just nuts.

DR is just as good as VLR though, despite being shorter as a result of not having multiple routes. I finished the game in a little over 20 hours with logic difficulty on hard so Baal's estimate seems spot on. To be honest I'm not a fan of judging games by the playtime you get per dollar anyway.
I haven't tried it yet but the main appeal of School Mode for me is finding out more about characters who had less time in the spotlight compared to others, as well as expanding on the ones that I know a bit about and like. I don't know if I'll bother getting all the character endings (I inevitably will) but I think it'll be fun to play through while I watch through some of my TV backlog.

Honestly its nothing to do with length to price. Its just when I buy a visual novel I love them, but I struggle to play them after completion.
I'm more debating should i get this closer to when the second is release (its coming later this year) so I can play them one after the other right away.

Some of the tracks in this game are on par with Pursuit ~ Cornered.
