Messing was player of the tournament? Really? There were far more worthy candidates, I wonder how much of that is down toreputation alone? Anyway, Germany were the best team in what was a marvellous tournament, so deserving winners.

To be honest, U.S was more invested in the World Cup this year than ever. This includes after they got eliminated. If you ask me, it's because of the internet and naturally things trending in other English (primary or secondary) speaking countries would at least affect the U.S audience on the internet.
