I hate this.

so pretty much every match Argentina played so far has been a snorefest.

What a dull match. As much I want Netherlands to win, I'm £80 better off if Argentina win the tournament. Conflicted...

Sorry Kai, this looks like you'll have to settle with mopping up what's left of Brazil and third place.

pffff, you really have to wonder how the fuck Argentina has gotten this far. they've showed absolutely nothing of excellence. as I previously mentioned, all of their matches were dull as fuck, but they still manage to advance.


you really start wondering how and why. I guess I'll hope they win the tourney then, then we can at least say we lost to the World Champions.

They've been defensively sound, Messi's had a poor tournament but they've been lucky enough to have the odd moment of brilliance each game which has just been enough to see them sneak through.  Personally, I think Germany will beat them quite comfortably.

actually, it's all Group F's fault for letting them advance in the first place.

Four hours to go. I'd suggest Netherlands should win as Brazil are likely still suffering from their emotional scars following their mauling at the hands of the Germans, but then again the Brazilians do have a huge point to prove.

I'd say they've been lucky; Thiago Silva should have been sent off in the first minute.

I just checked in to the game and the Brazilians are playing dirty as fuck.

This is definitely the worst referee in the entire tournament.

I dunno, that Japanese guy from the first match (who we never saw again) was pretty bad too.

He got most things wrong, yes. Silva should have been sent off, and it was at least three yards outside the area, so not a penalty. On the flip side, Brazil should have had a penalty; Oscar did intend to get taken, but it was a definite foul and the booking was yet another wrong call.  Anyway, it's over and Brazil were godawful again.  Congratulations to Netherlands, they looked very comfortable throughout.

We go home unbeaten. Small favours.
