| No, I was two years old during the Falklands War, so don't really remember it! The "Hand of God", though I do just about recall. At least I think I do. I have a memory of it, though I'm not sure if it's entirely real.
Also, Belgium has been disappointing this match. They've offered little going forward, and some of their big players *coughEdenHazardcough* simply haven't shown up.

| The war was decades ago but Argentina still insists that they own the Falklands. The Falklanders had a referendum last year and 99% of them voted to remain under British rule, but Argentina doesn't recognise their right to self-government or as a member of the negotiations, so they just ignored it and continue to claim that we stole the Falklands from them (nearly 200 years ago). | |

Yep, 1982. I was two. Anyway, that's that. Commiserations to Belgium, but they were unable to replicate the same kind of movement, pace and strength that saw them topple the USA.

| Bullshit game, Argentina stalling, quite some faults against us that weren't really faults.. Most noteably when we were in or close to the 16..
But whatever, i'm not disappointed, our team is still young, there's room for improvement, and for not having played any cup in 12 years, we did pretty good i can honestly say.

| Belgium had a good run. Close game, but the only goal was pretty awesome. I think the Netherlands beats Germany in the finals 2-1. | |

| If the Netherlands want to get to the finals, they'll need to beat a well-organised Costa Rica team and tell Van Persie to stop being such a lazy bastard and get onside from time to time. Extra time looks almost certain at this point. | |

| Netherlands should have won this game already, too many mistakes made that should have been goals. | |

| The ad for a bank run by Greeks that ran in between extra time and the penalties was a good way of relieving nerves. | |

| Costa Rica should be proud of how far they got. No one gave them a chance to even get out of the group stages, and they took Netherlands right to the wire. | |

| Netherlands deserved the win, they were dominant for the entire game despite not landing some shots they should have.
Is it true that the Dutch goalie who was swapped out at the end has never saved a penalty in his career?

bit of luck involved in that goal though, the ball deviated and it just happened to fall right where Higuain needed it, and then he made a great goal no doubt. But yeah, that's football. I say, Go Holland and kick their butts for us!

| The germans looking their usually ruthlessly efficient selves. They're tearing Brazil apart down the right hand side. | |

| Robben really needs to learn to be less theatrical.
I'm not saying he's always diving or faking stuff, but it always looks weird and over the top when he goes down.
