Ok will do but i'll just wait for a sale unless its got online or something.

I've now done everything of note in XIII-2, not going to bother getting all the postgame weapons or anything - I know I can beat all the bosses already so grinding them for special weapons just so I can beat them more easily is pointless.

Going to start on Catherine soon, should I just wing it or look up the more important story choices and pick a path? Bear in mind I'm only going to play through once.

Just wing it, it's probably better you see some of the ridiculous choices the game has you make in confessional booths.

Wing it. Just remember it's generally a law/chaos system rather than good/bad. Some questions are still a bit confusing though.

Everyone is, it's best you either do it on Easy mode on your first playthrough or get smart.

Yeah I think I might drop down from Normal, I finished Stage 2 without too many hiccups but I expect it to get a lot more difficult and don't want to get completely stuck later on.

Unless I'm mistaken I just got chased up a tower by a giant ass with a face and huge lolling tongue.

It wasn't as good as it sounds.

This seems like it's going to be a pretty short game, at least it will be if it only covers a week of ingame time. I finished stage 5 and called it for today so I expect I'll finish at some point on the weekend.

The choices I've been making have been keeping me more or less Neutral, occasionally swinging towards Chaos, so I have no idea what's going to happen at the end.

I recommend you try and get the best ending of Lover, Cheater, and Freedom. They're not hard and you don't have to actually play the game again just make choices and level skip. It shouldn't take you too long.

Don't you need to gold levels to level skip?

I played on normal and on sage 6/7 it got kinda hard I took a break from game and never went back.

Oh yea, that's right. Well he's on Easy, it shouldn't take him too long to Gold those levels, especially since he has a handle on the game now.

I'm actually getting better scores on the later levels than I ever did on the early ones, I guess I am actually becoming less shit at this over time.

You grow as a person with this game.

Went back and started getting Gold trophies on every level, the Clock Tower boss caused me a shitload of grief. Seriously fuck that baby and its buzzsaws.

Is this game just one big social commentary on Japanese population decline?
