Since seeing that animated show I've been checking out the other stuff that Steve, Ricky and Karl have done. The "Guide To..." series was great. It's 10 episodes, about 50 minutes each. Hilarious stuff. Guide To... The Human Body was the best.
Now I'm listening to the old XFM shows, and they're pretty good too.

Oh, and I put this here since we don't have a radio board or anything.

This is awesome. Ricky and Steve found out Karl's GCSE results for him since he never collected them. He only took history. Steve was trying to teach him about the Tudors, and the conversation went like this.
Steve: Karl, you'll do al right if you can at least finish this sentence. "Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded..."? Karl: ... Steve: Come on Karl. "Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded..."? Karl: ...Did you know, that, the only king with a moustache... No, the only king without a moustache, is, the King of Hearts. On the playing cards... Ricky: Play a record Karl.

OH GOD I'M DYING.
Steve: This will scare you Karl. You've heard about Jurassic Park? Karl: Yeah. Steve: You know what went wrong there. Well it says here that scientists are planning to clone mammoths for a theme park. Steve: ...Look at his face, look at that. He looks like a dog caught in the headlights of a car. Ricky: I love Karl. I love him. Steve: He sprang to attention there. Ricky: Karl, is that the best news you could have? Karl: ...Man-moths?

Oh man, this XFM show is the funniest thing I've heard in ages.
I literally collapsed laughing at Karl's story about the shadow 4 minutes in. Man-moths is still the best moment of the show so far though. My face hurt I was laughing that much.

Karl's ideas for radio competitions.
Karl: Do you remember Big Brother? Ricky: Yea-... Do I remember Big Brother? No. Go on. Karl: "Big Mother", right? You call in, if your mam's heavy you win a CD.

Ricky: Stroking a spider can cause it's hair to fall out. Karl: What, because it doesn't like it and it's getting stressed out, or is it just that some people are rubbing too hard? Ricky: No, I don't think it's the rubbing too hard, I think it's something to do with... I mean what sort of maniac is stroking a spider anyway? Karl: My mum did it once.

Steve: Got another fact for you Karl. Ancient Babylonians, th-... Karl: Can I stop you there? Steve: ... Karl: What's a Babylonian? Ricky: What do you mean? Think about it. What's an Evertonian? Karl: Someone from Everton. Ricky: Right, so what's a Babylonian? Karl: ...Someone from Baba.

This and the Ricky Gervais Show have shown to me that Ricky Gervais isn't really all that funny. Without Karl he would be nothing. Have you guys seen Idiot Abroad? It's pretty awesome basically cuz it's all about KP and has very little Ricky in it.

Yeah, Karl was the creative force behind The Office, Extras, and Ricky's stand up tours.

I guess I should correct myself. He wouldn't be relevant now.

Don't be stupid. It's the most recent thing he's done, but he would not be irrelevent without it. Well, maybe in America he would be, but has he ever been that relevent over there?

He's pretty relevant. Just about as much as any other big time comedian. No one over here really knows who Karl or Steve are at all.

He was pretty irrelevant up until the Ricky Gervais show on HBO. Now people here have probably seen his stand up. Adult Swim aired the old Office shows a few years ago but I don't think they did very well as they went off the air kinda quick. While I'd say he is still more of a known name than Karl here, that's changing with Idiot Abroad. That show is hilarious and Karl is getting pretty popular.

Rick Gervais is only good at stand up and being offensive to people, otherwise he kinda annoys him. I been watching him since he started out on the eleven o'clock show so he's kinda seeming old hat to me now.

On another note, Idiot Abroad started airing last Tuesday and holy jumping beaver shit, am I sold! Good not to have Ricky's annoying laughter in the background all the time, even though he's mostly funny.

The first 10 minutes of each show are funnier than the remaining 30-something minutes. Mostly the parts where Ricky, Steve and Karl go over where the episode's going to be taking place together.
