| It didn't get cut but it could have been patched in relatively easily and I can't help but feel like something is seriously wrong with their development process if they did stuff like that in a week and yet couldn't make more than a couple of major improvements over Oblivion in three years. | |

| I sold my Xbox 360 today, and whilst packing all my games away for the final time, there were only a few I was genuinely sorry to lose. Skyrim was one of them. That said, I do own the PC version as well, I just never installed Steam to let me play it. With that shocking admission of laziness out of the way, I'm currently installing the game proper.
Any essential PC mods I should be consider to really ram home the potential difference between PC Skyrim and the 360 era game?

| There are some pretty cool mods out there though, I remember enjoying one that completely revamped the melee combat. | |

| if I had Skyrim on PC, I'd get all the mods that make it look super realistic and fancy as fuck.
But then I'd also have to upgrade my PC a bit to be able to run it, so eh.

You definitely wouldn't. Your PC is overkill as far as Skyrim is concerned.

I have considered it, actually. I haven't spent that much time with it the last month, and if I got back what I paid for it I'd be happy. Not that I don't like it, it's impressive enough, I just don't think I can really justify having something worth £400 laying around and not being used. The 3DS is likely to go next; I haven't touched it since I finished Fire Emblem Awakening. - Quote :

Yeah, Skyrim isn't actually that demanding. Even my laptop runs it without any problems at 1080p / 60+ fps, though that is without any of the more heavy-duty mods thus far.

You definitely wouldn't. Your PC is overkill as far as Skyrim is concerned. you really think I can run all those mods that make it look so beautiful? I've got a strong PC for sure, but I have my reservations on some of the mods I've seen.

| Yes, you definitely can. When Skyrim came out I had worse hardware than you have, assuming that topic you made is still accurate, and I modded the shit out of it. | |

| Let Neo make your PC decisions for you, you seem a little out of your depth. From what i understand your pc should be better looking than PS4. | |

| I tried running the Realvision ENB mod. It looked beautiful.
Until I moved. FRAPS showed the framerate was dropping to an average of 2-3, so it was pretty much totally unplayable but it looked so, so good when I stopped moving. I'm playing around with some of the less intensive mods, just to see what my laptop can cope with. Fingers crossed.
