Yeah, metal slimes are basically monsters made for you to grind with. Later on when you're able to fly around the world map, you can find this hill that has metal slimes, liquid metal slimes and king metal slimes as well as other slimes.

The metal slimes are ridiculously hard to kill, they're almost totally resistant to damage and tend to run away lots as well.

When I grind with them, I usually have the hero use that lightning thrust(basically the upgraded thunder thrust) move and have Yangus do his executioner attack for the OHKO kills.

For Jessica I give her those higher level whips and use moves that can inflict 2 HP. Same goes for Angelo with his metal slash move.

Well I got to Baccarat. Had a look around, then decided to back track a bit and do random shit. Went to the Casino in Pickham and got some juicy items out of it. Had a look at that castle on the island. Now I'm off to see that guy that was standing on the building.

Well, found a few chests, leveled up a bit, got my monster team (although I left the stadium immediately afterwards, can't be bothered with it at the moment), so it's back to the story!

Where was I? Oh yeah, my car horse was stolen in cockney fantasy slum town slum of Peckham Pickham. So I found the guy who'd stolen it, but he'd already sold it. So I found the guy he sold it to, and he'd already sold it. So I found the person he sold it to, who turned out to be scantily clad lady thief. And she wouldn't give it back unless I went through some dungeon to get some jewel for her. After all that, it was back to Peckham Pickham to find some guy who might know where Dhoulmagus is.

Anyway, he said Dhoulmagus had left the continent. Well shit. And apparently because of a rise in monster attacks no ships are sailing, so I need my own. Luckily there is one abandoned nearby, in the middle of a wastelend. Great. So to figure out how to get it to the sea, we went to the cursed King's Castle (oh yeah, I'm traveling with a cursed king. Dhoulmagus cursed him, which is why we're after him. He cursed the Princess too. She's the horse), to find his library in the hopes that it would tell me something about the ship.

So I made through the castle (ie dungeon) to the library, but the books told me bugger all apart form the wasteland used to be an ocean in the past. So what do we do? Go to the Moonshadow Realm of course! Oh yeah, forgot that bit. I went there to help cheer up the mopey king. There's an effeminate oddball in the shadow realm who brings memories back with a harp. He's going to be bring the ocean back for me.

But his harp broke. Yeah. Guess who has to get him a new one? So I go back to the now happy king, because he promised to help if I needed it. He has the harp. But (because it's never that fucking easy), it was stolen by moles. Yeah moles. That's where the big mole who liked to obvious obvious but legally-different-enough-to-not-have-to-pay-royalties James Brown lyrics comes into it.

Got the harp, got the ocean, got the ship. And now I can sail all over the place and dock wherever. This game gives you quite a lot of freedom. Of course the monster in the places you're not supposed to go to yet will kill you in instant, but what do you expect?

Here's the best time to go zoom back to Baccarat, run around the map until you find that sabercat place and start that short quest. When you finish it, you can get a sabercat to ride on and get around faster on land.

I've been there. Haven't done the quest yet.

Well, I arrive at Baccarat on my quest to find Dhoulmagus. Is he here? No, of course not. But there is a big casino here. Except it's closed, because the owner was murdered, by Dhoulmagus. Apparently he went off to some island in the north.

So we're hot on Dhoulmagus's heels for the first time in ages! Off to the island. There's some strange ruins here. I arrive just in time to see Dhoulmagus enter them. Alright, got him! ...Except not. He's put some barrier in front of the door and I need some magical light to break through it.

*sigh*

Anyway, according to people, the Kingdom of Argonia has a magic mirror that could do the job. So I'm off to Argonia! And I arrive at Argonia!

Me: Can I have the mirror please?
King: No, it's an heirloom of the royal family.
Me: So... Can I have it anyway?
King: Well, as it turns out my utter, total prick of a son is too afraid to complete his initiation ceremony. Help him to do that (by which I mean do it for him), and I'll give you the mirror.

So I have to drag this whining twat around as we try to kill a lizard to get some jewel. But the little shit wants to find a really big lizard, so it takes about 3 times as long as it would have. But whatever, I get the mirror.
