So I bought Dragon Quest VIII

Went back to Red's house in my search for mini medals and she gave him a nice weapon to help fight the last boss with. Not as good as my current axe though.

It's really only good for normal battles since it has no skills. Better to stick with the axe for the last boss and the post-ending optional bosses to come.

I was planning to. I have an area attack for the axe now anyway, so I don't need the flail. Plus I have boomerangs and whips for all that.

Yeah, Axes of Evil I assume. There's also that Parallax you probably got already too, that one's more useful during boss fights than Executioner considering the higher hit rate, not to mention Executioner's a "critical attack" type of move so tension doesn't boost the damage rate unlike Parallax.

I mainly use Executioner for the metal king slimes.

Just fought a big squid in Baccarat.

Just rescued the chancellor from that odd troll mirror place.

Got the Gringham Whip from the Casino as soon as it opened. Carry a Rune Staff around as well since it's a free defense boost.

I gave him the Liquid Metal Sword, since his natural attack power is a bit lower than Hero's.

Hero has the Sacred Armour, everyone else has Liquid Metal Armour, although I'm cooking up a Divine Bustier for Jessica.

why would you learn fisticuffs at all?

You're pretty much able to godstomp the final boss now.

Also, the best place to grind levels is the Metal Hill or whatever it's called. Only metal slimes there.

Every time I leveled up I just put most of the points into the main skill I use and then one or two into random other ones. That was when I got 6 or 7 skill points each level though. Now I only get 2 or 3.

Screw metal hill. Metal slimes and even liquid metal slimes are small fry. I hunt for metal king slimes in the Dragon Graveyard. They're 30'000 exp each. Once there was a metal king and a few fly things, and each time I killed the slime a fly would resurrect it. Got about 120'000 exp from that one fight.

No, what he's saying is that that hill contains ALL kinds of metal slimes, Metal, Liquid and King. But yeah, the Dragon Graveyard kicks ass considering those fly things.

Why the hell can't the boss just be the boss? Why do they always have to transform? I'm getting fed up with this.

Got all the orbs. I'm gonna try to win the S Rank of the Monster Arena before going back to the bird though, because I want that armour for Angelo.

Well that was easier than expected. Now I'm going to cook up some better weapons in the pot.

So what, are you just grinding and completing optional stuff now? Making your first timbrel of tension and such too?

It's more that I just haven't been playing it much. Got a bit bored with all the bosses.

Okay then, I'm off to fight the boss.
