| It didn't say it was cursed before I used it. And curses are just the same as being asleep or knocked down or stunned or whatever. | |

| Yeah, with the saint ashes. Basically this game's universe(as well as the other games) has a real anti-hell thing(the final enemy's always like a persona of evil itself than some person corrupted by it and such) and you're always on the side of some version of God(hell, in DQVII, the God in that one is based on THE God), you can usually point out the cursed items based on how their names are all dark and evil sounding. And I guess their descriptions sometimes warn you. | |

| I know you can mix stuff with saints ashes. That's how I got my current armour for Angelo (platinum armour or something). | |

IIRC, doesn't the Godbird at the end actually state she's not a God and that was just a title people had given her?

Yes, she's really called Ramia, It doesn't really matter though, she's still a god-like figure to the world, their religion and belief doesn't even focus on her BEING a bird. Over time shs just became some goddess to the people and that's pretty much it. In the end, she's just another personification of life, light and so forth so you basically got the usual dark vs light scenario.

You can get saints ashes from the Baccarat casino I think. Anyway, been through the pirate cove. That pirate guy at the end was piss easy, since he just spent most of the time raising his tension. I just spent the whole fight using Angelo to heal everyone from his last attack and attacking with Hero and Yangus. The Godbird battle on Empychiuchhsuusu or wherever was annoying though. That thing literally did negate status boosts every other turn. I can fly now though.

| Flying for the first time in that game was one of my most memorable videogame moments ever. | |

| Well, I have no clue what to do next. I got the flying ability, so I flew up to that priests place because I couldn't get there before, but there nothing there. I spoke to the guy and he doesn't tell me anything. Am I supposed to talk to some other random person to get a clue? I only knew about the pirate cove because I talked to a random NPC. | |

| Where you need to go is Tryan Gully.
You'll find Tryan Gully on the southeastern continent. From the centre of the continent go west and you'll see an island that kind of looks like it's in the "mouth" of the continent.

| The game urged you way back to go to that fortune teller from the all the time if you need hints where to go next(that or the start button party chat, but they won't help at this point).
Although, regardless of that, I cheated by using my guide book since I didn't want to waste time going to the guy. =3
Basically you're supposed to go to a place called Tryan Gully. It's located on the South-Eastern continent. Fly around till you notice a small place on the west of that continent where you'll see a bridge connect to a small town near a waterfall.

| Yeah. But you don't need to check now since we told you where to go. Basically follow my directions and hopefully you'll find the place. | |

| Oh yeah, and here's a little extra fun thing. Once you get some leaf item from there to track down the dog, he'll be going to thart priest's place(and you have to follow him in the sky after using that leaf thing you'll get). Instead of landing in the priest's home right away, if you want, you could land in the sanctuary(on that other island that's lower than the mansion).
It's not mandatory but it adds to the whole ominous atmosphere with everyone panicking that they saw "a flying demon/angel of death". It's especially spooky at night. =) Oh and you get some extra scene with Marchello if you go to the elevator too.
There's also another extra Marchello scene if you go to Neos prior to that part. It's fun seeing all that extra shit. =P

| I'm capable of reading faqs myself. I was just wondering what there was in the game to tell me where to go. | |

| Just the fortune teller(or the story itself telling you where to go). | |

| By the way, do you check out those spring scenes with the princess often? I remember that there was a lot of those throughout the game when you backtrack to that place at times, like...really a lot. They're kinda nice. Apparently the princess would have a happy life as long as the hero continues to keep riding her... | |

Hur hur. Anyway, crass inuendo aside, I don't recall there being more than four or five conversations there before you get 'MC and Medea enjoy a stolen moment together' or something like that ad infinitum.

| Maybe it's something to do with the spring? Considering you ditched it throughout the game, I wonder how many scenes one would get shoved in their face at your point in the game | |
