Whichever you choose, don't choose Tepig.

The water one was pretty good, strong and versatile. The grass starter is fast and can take hits like a woman in the 50s but has a shitty movepool.

The 'rivals' in this game annoy me. Well, Bianca annoys me. Cheren is aight, but nowhere near as cool as Silver or Gary Motherfuckin' Oak.

Your friends are closer to being sparring partners than rivals and N is a much better character in general than Gary Oak's clown ass was.
