| I found the challenge rooms pretty boring. Only played the game through once as well. Traded it in a while ago. | |

| I really need to buy this game again. I traded it in after getting the platinum on it but every time I see it mentioned I want it back... | |

could you complete them? cause when i played this whenever i got this i weren't so good at them, but as i got further into the game i understood how they were done and it was way more fun. Aiming for all the bonuses at the same time and using combo variables make the game way better to. I didn't think the combat was particularly deep at first but to be good at it theres a lot more to it

| I'm with Buu on this, admittedly I'm a huge fanboy for this game but to enjoy the challenge rooms completely you really have to be good with the combat system. | |

| I can imagine the titans will be a pain on hard. I was playing on normal just looking for riddler stuff now.
This game taught me a lot about the characters in batman which i thought was pretty cool.
Doubt i'll do a hard run for a while I think i wanna play valkyria chronicles.

| You die with three bullets on hard mode. Bane was probably the hardest boss on hard believe it or not. Ivy was the hardest on easy but I forget who was the hardest on normal. | |

| If you're good enough to get the triple batarang emblem on all the challenges you should breeze through hard mode, it's all pretty simple once you can carry out a nice combo with everything properly timed. The only thing to get used to is the lack of 'spidey-senses' to tell you when to counter. | |

cool that actually sounds better i've probably done half the challenges so far, they don't seem too hard for me the main trouble is the titans they always break my combos, even if i dodge them a bit

| We're talking about hard mode right now. And even if you get the triple batarang emblem, there's the off chance you could still get shot and die within seconds. Sometimes they see you first and catch you off guard. | |

| I enjoyed Arkham a lot, but then I picked it up for a tenner. Had I paid forty quid for it, I'd have been a bit miffed at how short it was. Yes, it was great while it lasted but I beat the main story mode in seven hours, and I wasn't blitzing it either, I found 197 of the 240 Riddler thingies so I know I'd spent a while just cocking about.
It also had one of my video game unforgivable moments in it, one of those things that really winds me up; When you face Zsasz the second time, when he's holding the Dr hostage, if you take too long he kills her, which is an instant game over. Of course, when you beat him she dies seconds later in a cut scene yet the game carries on as normal. Why? Why is one death a game over and another seconds later not?

| The story of the game wasn't much more than just your typical mad scientist bullshit. It's sad because you'd expect more from the JOKER, OF ALL VILLAINS, than just big bad monsters. Oh well, maybe the sequel will have a better one. | |

| I thought the Joker was quite clever. Except, of course, for the last fight which was thoroughly disappointing. | |

The problem wasn't the Joker's cleverness, it was his plan in general. Which was basically just to steamroll Gotham with superpowered freaks.

This wasn't really about the storyline it was more about being batman. The storyline just reeked of no effort. Batman: Its Over Joker. Joker: No Batman it has only just begun. Seriously that kind of writing is just shit. I would say the weakpoint of the game was the boss fights especially the killer croc one, but other games did a lot worse the only good superhero game boss fight i can think of is hulk vs general ross which was freaking epic. Aside from that considering the amount of info crammed into the game, the riddler puzzles forcing you to learn about non mainstream villains really has opened up the book for AA2. Lets hope they capitalise.

On the contrary, considering it was a Batman game, everyone expected it to be shit. It turned out to be one of the best games of the year.

Exactly Superhero games are probably next on the automatically crap list after Movie games, good superhero games i can only think of 3 SM2, Hulk UD and this.
