| That's what the sequel is called. Catwoman looks to be confirmed. Talia al Ghul is also confirmed, as well as Mr. Freeze, who is being played by Maurice LeMarche. Coming sometime in 2011. | |

| Awesome! I assume the City part will make the map significantly larger which may make the game significantly longer. Arkham Asylum was too short. | |

| The poster in the background looks like a Harvey Dent poster as well. Granted he was pretty much a dead cert given how Arkham Asylum ended, but you never can tell. | |

Now that you mention it, it does look like Two face in the back.

| Even in the other one you could see a shade in the middle of his face so it made it seem like it was Two Face. | |

| Wikipedia seems to have also confirmed Red Hood II from his VA in Under the Red Hood, but I can't be too sure about trusting wiki. | |

| Took long enough, I love his Joker too but it's time that the new generation gets their own Joker to bitch about that the future ones will never be as good as while we're old telling them that our Joker was the best. | |

| I can't wait for this game. Don't like the title though, I guess they're just trying to make the link between the games obvious. | |

- The first bit of Batman: Arkham City details has come out of the latest Game Informer this morning. While not much, it tells us an interesting deal about the story and gameplay mechanics – like the fact that it may be more than just an overdose that’s affected Joker. Also revealed: Batman will start off the game will all his weapons from the first and now has the ability to take on side-missions.
The full leak of information can be seen below.
Story Details
* Quincy Sharp is no(t?)(w?) running for mayor. (the poster of this wrote no – we’re pretty sure he forgot a letter) * Arkham Asylum and Black Gate Prison are unfit to hold inmates. * Quincy Sharp buys off part of the slums and walls it off, creating Arkham City. * Hugo Strange is in charge of Arkham City. * Two-Face plans to execute Catwoman to gain respect of inmates. * The overdose of venom may not be what’s wrong with the Joker.
Gameplay Details
* You are now able to counter two attacks at once. * More puzzles. * All gadgets included in the first game are available from the start. * Side missions are now featured in the game. * Gangs roam Arkham City; they are recorded in Batman’s criminal database. * You find people who work for Ridler to find Ridler challenges. * Batman has his smoke bomb.

| Arkham Aslyum was kind of a sandbox anyway. It was just Arkham Island. It wasn't like Uncharted or something where each level was it's own map with no interconnectivity. It was a sandbox that was perfectly engineered to make you take a linear path through it. Once you had a lot of the abilities that unlocked later, you could backtrack wherever you wanted.
Just the fact that it's in a city means it will probably be a more traditional sandbox though, but I reckon they can do it.

There'll be a lot of annoyed people if he does. I wouldn't object to him not being the main antagonist in a potential third game but he doesn't need to die for that to happen.

| Yeah, does sound pretty good. I really hope there's some post game content or something this time around. I enjoyed AA, but I played through the story once and collected all the Riddler things and then it felt like there was no reason to play it anymore. I like there to be some additional incentive to replay a game, even if it's just something completely arbitrary like a costume change.
And no, the various difficulty levels don't count. Unless of course there's some cool in-game reward for completing them. But usually I can't be bothered with different difficulty settings.
