The usual cinematic announcement trailer.
Only real info is that it's from Rocksteady, next gen only, you can drive the (ugly) Batmobile, and if you pre-order you get Harley Quinn for challenge maps.

was just about to start this topic myself, im glad rocksteady got this back to finish it properly. ORIGINS was broken completely from what i heard & to be fair ASYLUM & CITY were two of the best games for ps3 so the form suggests this one wil be awesome aswell

-No multiplayer -Conroy is back as Batman -The main villain is brand new, created just for this game by Rocksteady and DC -More thugs, crowds of up to 50 people -Map is apparently x5 bigger than Arkham City -No loading screens
It really sounds like Arkham Origins is just being completely ignored, since they call this one the last part of the "trilogy".

It's going to turn out to be the Joker.
This so hard
Also Origins isn't a bad game so much as it's boring as shit and does nothing to advance the formula. It is an unnecessary addition that stagnated the gameplay and made me want to not ever play another fucking Batman game again.

It was also buggy, and the combat was hindered because they nerfed countering. Unlike in AA and AC, you cannot cancel into a counter if you're in the process of doing something else while an enemy is moving in on you. This meant playing a lot more defensively(or spamming gadgets more), which is boring as hell. They tried to balance it out by giving Batman those god mode gloves, but I'd really rather just have the original combat back. The way they handled it disrupted the whole flow of everything.

If you still feel that way, don't feel bad about skipping or delaying getting the new one, first day and there are already a bunch of complaints about batmobile gameplay.
Oh, and although Arkham Knight as a concept is a new character
Spoiler:
it's Jason Todd under the costume.

Giving the game to a 3rd party consisting of 12 people and try to make a PC port in 8 weeks?
Disastrous results.

Combat seems to fast on this one, iits not as satisfying to hit people, batman seems to float too much, also I swear the combat cam gets further away from the action each game.
Looks nice though, and combat is still as fun as ever, didn't really play around with stealth yet though.

I felt that the camera wasn't far enough. It more or less looks the same as before, but for some reason there's a whole lot more times where I suddenly get smacked by a mook from off-screen. That never really happened in the other installments. Not really a huge hindrance, but it's somethin' to note. Just gotta be more careful. BE THE BAT.
The main wonky thing I've noticed is that Batsy's aim isn't as precise as before. Sometimes he'll point in the wrong direction and totally drop the freeflow combo. S'weird. It's nice to be able to cancel into counters again, though. Screw that "lol Bats is inexperienced, so we must ruin the combat mechanics" Origins bullcrap.

Truth be told, I feel like Rocksteady bit off more than they could chew with this game. They improved a lot of things and it's still a very solid experience, but a lot of it is a bit too samey and repetitive compared to their last two efforts. They worked so hard on trying to create a much larger world for the game that the content wound up suffering because of it. Excluding the Riddler's challenges, every other side-quest is basically a chain of doing the exact same thing over and over, and the most interesting ones turned out to be very unfulfilling. It makes me feel that feeling that's the opposite of happy. Arkham City's missions weren't overly complex or had heavily varied stages of progression either, but they didn't feel as repetitive and they usually built up to a better climax.
The implementation of the Batmobile in a lot of story missions is also a bit clumsy and excessive. I'm not too hard on those segments where you need to use its fancy gadgets and different modes to progress a certain area or deal with an obstacle considering they'd need to do something with it so the car's more than just an alternative to gliding, but did we really need so many tank battles? It's astounding how there's far more of those than any actual high-speed chase sequences or something(which are mostly relegated to one particular side-mission). There's even a side-quest dedicated to doing a buttload of additional tank battles too. What the billowing backpacks is the point of that when you've got so many already?
Spoiler:
At least Hallucination Joker is fun. He keeps Batsy sane throughout the pain. And if that's not enough Joker for you, then a handful of civilians somehow gradually turning into the Joker due to merely being transfused with the Joker's contaminated blood in the previous game's Joker hijinks should be enough of a joke to joke about.
JOKER!
One thing I can say that I really liked is their use of the crime scene investigation system. The concept originated from Origins(although, I wouldn't be surprised if this was an idea WB Montreal was given by Rocksteady and served it as a taste of what's to come in AK), but it's more elaborate and far better executed here.
even though it isn't literally him, The Joker is 100% responsible for the Arkham Knight. Nobody can write a Batman plot without having Joker as the big bad apparently.
