I think the only nakama speech in the past 50 chapters was Bon-Clay's. His character is just an incarnation of the whole friendship thing though.

The only thing besides that that comes close is Whitebeard's entire crew coming just because Ace is family and Little Oars Jr. sacrificing himself because Ace once gave him a hat.

All the cool characters are ded.

Akainu hacked up a couple of marines who tried to run away. DoFlamingo is cutting off legs. Crocodile and Mr. 1 are casually falling out of the air.

I stopped watching the show after the they left Thriller Bark, what chapter in the manga is that. I might start reading again and this tiem fo srsly.

I think you're talking about the shadows in the sky.

Answer: Shandian shadows. It's revealed in the Skypiea climax when a victorious Luffy is the giant in the sky.

That's bullshit. I was hoping they were like badass god creatures.

Luffy vs Garp [I'll blow you out of my way] Luffy goes into Gear 2nd and smashes Garp (Garp seems to take the hit deliberately) and is knocked off the bridge.

Luffy arrives at the top of the platform, and attempts to unlock Ace's cuffs, but Kizaru intercepts, knocking the key away with a beam.

Mr. 3, who had disguised himself as an executioner lends a hand to free the locks, but Sengoku finally plays his hand and reveals his ability that makes him grow large (kyojin no mi?)

His appearance is that of a Daibutsu (a large statue(s) of Buddha), he has become huge! Dai-sengoku throws a punch at Luffy, the scaffold collapses bouncing everyone off, Luffy tries to open the cuffs in mid-air (got the key back and/or Mr. 3) the marines concentrate a barrage of fire on them, and from inside a circle of flames appears Ace! Endo.

Chapter 574: Portgus D Ace, is dead.
The chapter starts with everyone astonished.
Garp tells Sengoku he better stop me now, or I will kill Sakazuki.
Sengoku does so. Marco and Vista attacks Akainu.
Akainu says Haki users eh? This is troublesome, and attacks Ace again. Jinbei stops the attack.
flashback of Ace and Luffy. Ace says he misses even someone like Dadan now, thanks for the love he recieved.
The vivre card burns out. Luffy is seen with expression never seen before. end.

So really nothing much happens, again.
