Well as expected, Luffy finished Ceasar off without taking a hit. He was also quite flippant about not fulfilling his part of the bargain with Law, and it seems things are coming to a head now.

Plus points;

* Ceasar finally getting his
* Baby 5 and Baboon both look very interesting
* Franky looks like he'll get a chance to shine
* Every SH getting at least one panel
* Usopp's Kabuto
* The alliance/underworld panels

Bad points;

* Kinemon. I doubt very much he'll be allowed to die, which means there's a cure for the petrifaction. That cheapens the whole weapon-of-mass-destruction thing somewhat.
* That's about it

Baby 5 and Monet for nakama

Yeah another female crew member would be ideal. Monet would be good and would complete the trio of (normal) devil fruit types in the SH crew.

Monet? Not going to happen. She's been shown to be genuinely nasty - actively taking part in Ceasar's schemes and then, in her monster form, killing marines - and I don't see how it's possible to redeem her from that. Chopper would leave the crew if she joined.

Kinemon is much more likely, whether we need snother swordsman or not, though personally I think he'll lead the crew to Wano and then go his separate ways.

Robin killed plenty of marines, seemingly killed Pell, seemingly killed Igaram (Spelling?), captured Vivi, took part in Crocodile's schemes, etc. The Straw Hats devastated Franky's crew out of sheer anger for what he did to Usopp. Monet was just another enemy compared to Franky and is very much akin to Robin's predicament. If Monet survives and helps save the Straw Hats in some way, she could easily be redeemed.

Robin didn't kill Pell or Igarim though, did she? She could have, but didn't, and she also helped Luffy following his first defeat by Croc. She also tried to hide the truth from Crocodile when they reached the Poneglyph before trying to kill him.

Granted there may be - and likely will be - more to Monet than meets the eye, but she actively helped Ceasar "treat" the kids on PH by giving them candy. We already know from his reaction that Chopper finds this unforgivable. Monet then tried to attack Nami and Chopper, nearly eating the latter, before maiming the G5 and trying to do the same to Tashigi.

They're worlds apart. Robin was using Croc and his scheme to uncover the poneglyph. Monet - whatever justification Oda may come up with later - her actions are genuinely evil. Luffy wouldn't invite her, and as I already said, if he did Chopper would leave the crew because of what she did to the children.

Monet isn't going to join the Straw Hats.

As long as you think we can fit her in somewhere without her feeling out of place, then I've no problem with that.

On the plus side, nice to see Franky doing something and not being a total pushover, even against bona fide New World opponents and not fodder. Baby 5 and Buffalo seem to work well as a pair - their chemistry reminded me of Baroque Works' agent pairs - and last, but not least... that New Age spread. Anyone else think was that freakin' awesome?

To think, Smoker used to be a badass. He's now jobbed three times in one arc.

700 chapters now and still strong.

So a lot has happened within the last two-three chapters. You know the clash of the alliances is going to be pretty epic. Pretty much whatever is going to happen with Doflamingo is bound to be interesting.

So 702 is out early now.

This arc seems like it is going to turn out better than Punk Hazard mostly because of Doflamingo.
