How long is this flashback going to last?

7 chapters, but they're dragging it out in the anime.

More than usual, I mean. They're only covering three quarters of a chapter per episode.

It's still hilarious to watch because of Sabo's voice.

I'm still at episode 300 (3/4 through Enies Lobby) in the anime, so by the time I get to that god awful flashback I'll be able to skip it entirely. Yay!

The final chapter will probably be good in the anime. Toei can finally animate Luffy punching out the sea king.

Simian how are you watching the anime? I'm watching the series with friends, but I'm always through my FUNi DVDs, so I have to get the episodes from someplace else. Problem is, ever torrent on the web is dead. Are you downloading the eps or watching ugly streams?

I usually stream off www.animecrazy.net though the site has (seemingly more frequent) days where you can't connect at all, so I use www.watchop.com in those instances.

Man maybe its because I missed this show after a month of not watching it, but the first two episodes of G-8 are really awesome. Even for filler its really been sweet. I don't mind filler if its going to be this entertaining.

Is G8 the navy base?

Yea right after Skypeia when they fall back to the Grand Line.

Yeah I quite liked that part. It's way better than the other filler.

Good news y'all. This flashback will be at least 5 more episodes and even then it'll still need to cover two or three more chapters before it's done.

Thank you Toei for making the worst part of the entire series drag on endlessly. We really needed that. Because there isn't any coverstories to animate or anything.

I have been, very slowly. I'm up to chapter 149 still.

They'd get through the dull episodes a lot quicker if they weren't 80% filler. I'm about to start the Impel Down arc of the anime, and the few episodes just prior (showing the whereabouts of the other Strawhats) were the same thing; badly paced, boring and mostly filler. Toei make two pages of the manga last nearly fifteen minutes.

Sabaody is the only good arc post-timeslot switch.

They should just do what Pierrot does with Naruto and Bleach and make 40 episode filler arcs. At least the canon arcs will have great pacing that way. Instead we get awful canon material and filler episodes. Before the timeslot switch this somewhat happened with OP and it saved the early arcs from being awful dragfests. Not to mention the filler itself is just fucking terrible now. Back during the first director's run the filler consisted of stuff that wasn't depicted in the manga. Now we get awful slapstick jokes about Buggy and company taking a piss for 5 minutes. Well, as long as they don't animate the coverstories, it's all good!!

After today's episode covered another half a chapter, we're now officially halfway through the flashback.

3.5 chapters in 8 episodes. And people say DBZ had worse pacing than OP.

I've just finished the Impel Down arc, so at this rate I'll be caught up before the flashback ends. Eww. Might have to slow down on the War Arc a bit.
