If I'm grinding PQs, I use Broly's "You'll be 1st Victim". It reduces damage taken, but it starts you with full ki, so I can instantly pop SV2 and then spam Ultimates. There's very little skill involved, granted, but I can clear most PQs with minimum effort.
Normally, I use Semi-Perfect Cells soul. You get (slow) ki regen, and a nice early buff to all stats.

The first victim soul is great for lazy DB grinding when you don't wanna go through the motions with missions like PQ12, and instead go for that Exploding Namek one. You can instant-kill Freeza due to having max ki at the start, with only the Ultimate Finish to deal with afterwards. It can feel a lot faster than the other method if the RNG decides to be kind to you like it was with me the other day.

So, would you guys say this is better than the more recent DB games and is worth getting? It seems okay from the gameplay that I have watched at least.

It has some problems, but it's definitely better and more polished than a good deal of past titles.
If you're interested in creating your very own character to fight with in a brand new story, and you're up for a post-game that focuses on grinding and farming for skills, equipment, and so on, you might enjoy it.

That Cartman cracks me up everytime I see it, though I can't imagine anyone donating energy to him!
"Lend me your energy!" ""No chance, fatass" "Screw you guys!"
Something like that.

This year's 18th issue of Shueisha 's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that the golden version of Frieza that will appear in the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ film will also be playable in the Dragon Ball Xenoverse fighting game as part of the third round of DLC. This form of Frieza is simply known as "Golden Frieza."
The third round of downloadable content will also include other unannounced playable characters, Jaco from Jaco the Galactic Patrolman and one other unannounced character as teachers, five paralel quests, thirteen new special moves, Gohan's jersey from the upcoming film as a costume, two new accessories including the upcoming film villain Tagoma's scouter, and three new Z Souls. Jaco was originally included as a bonus for those who purchased first copies of the game.
Looks like the third set of DLC is indeed a RoF pack.

Not sure, but it sounds like a really good booster. An even more superior Kaioken from the looks of it, only you can still recover ki by using attacks and stuff instead of having an unstoppable drain limitation to screw you over. Certain z-souls and poses could make UP builds really powerful.
Elder Kai also gives you an RNG luck boost when he's your master sometimes.

That tournament sign up booth is being dusted off and is finally going to be utilized.
Unless they release another patch to go along with this major event to balance things out so that entering the competition is actually worth trying, expect small sized female Earthling/Saiyan Ki builds to dominate the whole thing.
I hope someone joins it as Yamcha and sweeps the whole thing.

I like how there's a shrine of the last game's hero. I hope the offline lobby (if it returns) can read your data from the first game and have it be based on one of your old dudes/gals. Then all those NPCs can have the occasional circle jerk ritual to your character's glorious hologram-statue-thingy.

One can only hope this has been in production for a good while. Like, starting right after Extreme Butoden or something. This current franchise revival might help it lead to some sequels, but even then it might not be as much of a huge seller as XV if people are that anal about not having a crapload of characters and gimmicks. This is why it needs to be good, for we may never see somethin' like this again for a long time.
