In the comics, Mikey apparently is meant to have the most potential from what little research I did. He's also meant to be a badass and win some tournament or some crap (in which Leo couldn't participate) and splinter quit when he was up against mikey.

If you only care about raw strength then Raphael is the "best", sure.

On another note i think that Sai knives are probably very shit against nunchuks. I mean no range, the whole point of sai is to catch the enemies weapon which is just never going to happen.

Sais would literally destroy a staff though.

Uh, I dunno.  I'm trying to consider the weapon in my head.  I think donny and mikey both have a distinct advantage over Raph because of weapon reach and speed respectively.  Raph has the best weapon for fighting Leo, but he literally can't match up to the guy who could beat shredder, when he couldn't even win against shredders bodyguards.

I doubt there's a big enough difference in skill between the ones who aren't leo for the weapons to not pretty much be the clincher.  I think donny would pretty much outsmart the others for the win.  I could give a reasons why i think bo beats sai, but no point in going into that unless anyone cares.

I could find it easier to believe mikey would beat donny then raph beating donny.

EDIT: I don't know the comics I used wikipedia to find out leo beat shredder and raph got embarassingly beat up.

Oh I don't know if Raph would beat Mikey in a fight, that's a whole other thing, just that he's probably the stronger fighter.

Leo and Donny are best though.

you're correct about leo's weapon being weak againt the sai BUT you cant compare them 2 fights, you could probably win a fight against a 20 yr old but you would almost certainly lose a fight against 30 12 yr olds.. the numbers would catch up with you (like they did to raph)

also, mikey would beat donny, they always make donny out to be a gadget junkie

Mikey's a retard, no way he's beating Donny. It would be the classic argument of brains over brawn, but they're comparable in strength.

Hunted for some more footage, the games loading screen states there's character upgrades.

Also at the beginning:

Leo can team attack (i hope this means double teams)
Donnie has team counters
Mikey has special counters
Raph has team TPKO's ..... Oh well no clue what that means its TTBS problem.

Taunts will attract enemies, effect stats and extend combos (cancelling?)

Areas don't appear to be walled off so its small sandboxes looks like the warriors to me.
