Buffy the Vampire Slayer + Angel Watchthrough Empty
PostSubject: Buffy the Vampire Slayer + Angel Watchthrough   Buffy the Vampire Slayer + Angel Watchthrough Icon_minitimeSun Sep 18, 2011 11:10 pm

Okay, I said I was going to do it, so here I go.

I don't really know a lot about Buffy. I know I've watched a few episodes here and there because my best friend when I was kid loved Sarah Michelle Geller and we'd sometimes watch it when I was at his house. But the only things I remember are:

- Sarah Michelle Geller is Buffy. She's a Slayer. She also gets naked one time because my friend would never shut up about that.
- David What'shisface is Angel. He's a Vampire with a soul. Gets his own spin off.
- Willow is a lesbian.
- Spike's English (played by an American... PFFT) and he's a vampire.
- Gilles or whatever is played by Anthony Head (who's awesome) and he's some sort of professor person.
- I also know that Angel kills his son at some point. Thanks Sky One!
- I hate Buffy's Mum for some reason. I can't remember why.
- Sexbots. Thanks Nonny, you ruin everything.

So I'm going to hopefully watch every episode of both shows in the order they're meant to seen. I like Joss Whedon's other work, like Firefly, so I'm expecting some decent characters and some incredibly 'natural' teenage girl dialogue. Also random and brutal deaths of loved characters.

I'm glad I watched Doctor Who before this, because that prepared me for a Monster of the Week type of format. Plus, Anthony Head was in it as an Alien Bat monster and that was one of best episodes because K-9 was in it and man Doctor Who is so awesome when it's got good writers (which is unfortunately, very rare).

I'll rate each episode out of 10, and also bring up anything else that I find interesting. I'll also judge each character on how much I like them, because Whedon really knows how to write awesome characters.

Let'sa go.

And when was Willow a lesbian? I don't remember that. I might have to watch this properly if that's the case.

Welcome to the Hellmouth - Series One, Episode One

Notes
- The beginning where the scared girl turned out to be a vampire was a nice twist. Nice subversion already, Joss Whedon.
- I totally forgot about the awesome buttrock intro sequence. Hell yeah, rock those power chords.
- This show is so 90s it makes me angry.
- So Gilles knows Buffy's a Slayer. But how? OOOooooOOOOooooOOOoooh
- "Give me the wiggins" is a pretty funny turn of phrase.
- "I gotta book" is a phrase I'm glad died out.
- Buffy's a Slayer. The one girl born in the entire world who can hunt vampires, just because.
- Gilles is a Watcher. He watches trains the Slayer.
- "Oh come on, it's Sunnydale. How bad an evil can there here?" Cut to subterranean Vampire nest.
- So Not-Angel stalks Buffy and then tells her that Sunnydale is above the mouth of hell (thanks, title!) and she should be ready for The Harvest.
- What kind of club with a bar lets 16 year old's in?
- Gilles is totally talking about Vamparism likes AIDS.
- I though Luke or whatever his name was going to seal Buffy inside the coffin. Instead he just sorta mounts her and we get the cheapest looking "To Be Continued" I've ever seen.

Episode Rating

8/10

A good first episode. Introduced the characters well, introduced the vampires well, made me want to watch the next episode. Solid all around.

Character Ratings

Buffy: 8/10
- Damn, Sarah Michelle Gellar was hot when she was 20. The years haven't been as kind to her as they have been to Alyson Hannigan.
- Kind of just using Willow because she's smart, rather than because she wants to be friends with her. That loses her some points.
- She's sorta of a lippy bitch.
- Oh, she supposed to be 16? Okay, if you say so.

Buffy's Mum: 5/10
- I have no opinion of her just yet.

Xander: 7/10
- He's okay. I hope he fucks Buffy soon so he doesn't stay awkward around her forever. That'll get annoying.
- Xander totally turned Willow into a lesbian when he stole her Barbie.

Jesse: 5/10
- Right now he's just there.
- Oh, now he's been bitten. I had a feeling he wasn't gonna last long.

Willow: 10/10
- Alyson Hannigan looks exactly the same playing Willow in 1997 as she does playing Lily in HIMYM in 2011.
- Willow is adorable. Actually, Alyson Hannigan is adorable and Willow is decently written.

Bob Flutie: 6/10
- Eh, he has potential.

Cordelia: 0/10
- She was mean to Willow. The bitch.

Gilles: 10/10
- Oh he's a librarian. He's still dreamy.
- He gets a 10 because he's Anthony Head.

Not-Angel: 9/10
- I like how he played with the "I'm a friend" deflection by adding "Who said I was yours?"
- I like Not-Angel, because I like Booth.

Darla: 7/10
- Oh she's actually going to be important. I figure that since she didn't die. Oh well, she might be alright, maybe.

"Luke?" (I think that's his name): 9/10
- I like him more than I like the evil Master Vampire. This dude's actually threatening.

Evil Master Vampire: 3/10
- He hasn't really done anything yet, but he looks stupid - like Voldemort with a nose.

Alyson Hannigan was already 23 when this season was filmed. Charisma Carpenter was 26.

Yes, someone else who agrees that Alyson Hannigan was always better looking than Sarah Michelle Gellar.

The Harvest - Series One, Episode Two

Notes
- After escaping from Luke and realizing that Jesse is missing, Buffy says "Jesse..." sadly as if she actually knew the guy for more than five minutes.
- Fuck me, 90s computers.
- When Buffy mentions Luke, we get a very helpful black and white flashback to last episode. Thanks, I'd almost forgotten.
- "God! I'm so mentally challenged!" That just highlights the PCness. I probably wouldn't have noticed if she'd just said retarded.
- Buffy can perform supernatural acrobatics feats. I'm disappointed, I thought she was going to be normal.
- I think the make up effects are kinda shit.
- Buffy's also superhumanly strong. Lame.
- There's a lot of gay subtext to vampires.

Episode Rating

7/10

Bit of a step down from the first episode.

Character Ratings

Buffy: 6/10
- She loses big points for making fun of Gilles being English. The bitch.
- Why does strong, independent woman = sarcastic bitch? She's so mean to everyone.
- I like her 'sunlight' trick.

Buffy's Mum: 2/10
- Typical TV mum who stands in the way of the protagonist. Dull and uninteresting.

Xander: 7/10
- I like him. I bet that means he's going to die at some point then, because I like him and Joss Whedon is a dick.
- Loses points for "Heads up!"

Jesse: 3/10
- He used the word epic as an adjective. Loser.

Willow: 9/10
- Still funny and adorable.
- Loses a point because she's a computer hacker, for no other reason than NERDDDDDDDDDDDDS.

Bob Flutie: 3/10
- Makes fun of Britain. The bitch.

Cordelia: 0/10
- Considering Kaio knows her actress by name, I imagine she's going to be a reoccurring character. Fuck.
- I also imagine in like... three seasons from now she'll work through her bitchiness and turn out to be a cool person. Joss Whedon loves doing that.

Gilles: 9/10
- Loses points because Joss Whedon felt the need to make a "I'm sorry, that was a bit British" joke.
- Gains a point for remarking that the Earth is doomed.

Not-Angel: 9/10
- I still like Booth

Darla: 4/10
- Utterly unremarkable. I bet she survives, too. Damn.

Luke: 10/10
- I wish all vampires were as monstrous as Luke.

Evil Master Vampire: 3/10
- Nothing worth mentioning.

The Witch - Series One, Episode Three

Notes
- Buffy wants to be a cheerleader. Golly.
- So, I've been noticing this for the past few episodes, but Joss Whedon sucks at writing teenagers. Maybe it's just the programs age showing and it was revolutionary at the time, but all the dialogue sounds so forced and desperate at trying to sound funny that it comes off as unnatural. It sounds like what a 13 year old would write for her fanfiction, where everyone's a wise cracker and everyone tries to be witty. I just hope that the dialogue picks up and I don't have to sit through seven more seasons of it.
- I'd probably enjoy this cheerleading episode more if I didn't know that all the girls in it are probably old and ugly now.
- They have the worst pyrotechnics on this show.
- "I need to get the skinny on Amber". There's a phrase I'm glad died out.
- "She's wiggin out". I like that idiom.
- What Driver's Ed car doesn't have a break on the passenger side for the Instructor? My immersion!
- I totally have the shoes all the cheerleaders are wearing. They're pretty sweet.
- God, I hate how fake the punches are.

Episode Rating

5/10

Kind of a nothing episode.

Character Ratings

Buffy: 6/10
- Buffy's still smarmy and unlikeable. Everything she says is like: "huh huh, I'm funny, aren't I funny?"
- I think I prefer happy-go-lucky, under a spell Buffy to regular Buffy. Under a spell Buffy would get an 9.

Buffy's Mum: 0/10
- What a bitch. I hope she dies of a heart attack or ovarian cancer of something. Something without cause or blame, just so Buffy doesn't have to go on some stupid revenge quest.

Xander: 8/10
- I'd like him a lot more if he didn't keep trying to make "funnies".
- I hope he gets with Buffy soon. I like him enough to want him to be happy. Even though there's no way that relationship could work. I bet he ends up with Cordelia just cause that would probably make her chill out.
- I bet he checked out the Witch books so he could cast a love spell on Buffy.

Willow: 10/10
- I like the Slayerettes line.
- "You're like a guy!" Exclaims Xander. If only he knew.

Cordelia: 0/10
- She's still just there.

Gilles: 10/10
- I like how he refers to Cheerleaders as a cult.
- He totally saved the day this episode. I hope this trend continues.

The Witch: 6/10
- I originally thought the Mum was the Witch. Then it was revealed that Amy was the witch and I was disappointed in myself. Then it turns out the Mum switched bodies with Amy and technically that means I was right. Nice ploy, Mr. Whedon.
- Other than that, not a very remarkable villain.

He actually talks like that himself.

Most of the season 1 writing teams signs out pretty quickly and is replaced with much better writers.

Also, there's one thing you said in that review that made me very sad and at one point will make you cry and you'll realise what a cruel bastard you are.

Teacher's Pet - Series One, Episode Four

Notes
- The episode opens in media res of some g rated sex dream Xander has about Buffy.
- If Community has taught me one thing, it's that ants communicate by throwing up into each others' mouths. Not by touch and smell.
- Whiny buttpop band at a school dance; ah, the 90s. I've noticed that this show likes having shitty bands play whenever they're at any kind of social gathering.
- High school students talking about 'scoring' while drinking what looks like Coke and Tizer. Ah, the 90s.
- I know I'm going to hate this episode.
- This show has some of the worst expository dialogue I've ever seen. It's so unnatural and forced.
- I hate that Whedon crams down our throat that Buffy defeated the Shemantis with the power of LEARNING.
- Oh so there's some Mantis eggs under the desk that are in the process of hatching. I hope they drop that plot point in favor of anything else.

Episode Rating

2/10

Pretty shitty, by the books, completely stereotypical episode.

Character Ratings

Buffy: 7/10
- About a third of this episode is Willow and Buffy exchanging glances or rolling their eyes. Jesus.

Buffy's Mum: -5/10
- Since Kaio doesn't know the meaning of the word subtlety, I can assume that Buffy's Mum dies at some point. Good. Maybe that'll mean she'll get some fucking character development before then.
- She wasn't even in this episode.

Xander: 8/10
- I'm getting sick of Xander taking a phrase and then adding a pathetic one liner to the end of it (I LAUGH IN THE FACE OF DANGER AND THEN FIND SOMEWHERE TO HIDE UNTIL IT GOES AWAY HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA). Learn how to write humor, Whedon you hack.
- I still like the character though.

Willow: 9/10
- Willow looks good in sweatpants.
- She continues to be adorable.

Cordelia: 1/10
- Is Cordelia kept around for sole purpose of finding all the bodies or is that just a weird coincidence? It's an awfully useful power, though.

Gilles: 8/10
- I like that Gilles complains that it's sunny.

Angel: 6/10
- So is he just gonna cryptically hang out in the background until he gets his own show or is gonna do something?
- This show is making me hate Booth. Angel speaks in a monotone and keeps breathing out of his mouth.

Vampire Wolverine: 3/10
- Nothing worth mentioning. He's the subject of the terrible expository dialogue I mention above.

The Evil Teacher ("Shemantis"): 0/10
- The episode title sorta gives this one away. I haven't watched the episode yet, but I imagine he uses mind control to control students' minds. Just sayin.
- Oh, so it's a she, and she's a squid thing. (Later, I find out those were mantis mandibles)
- She's not even remotely pretty compared to Buffy, Xander, what the hell is wrong with you?
- The special effects where she rotated her head 180 degree was terrible.
- Boring, boring, awful, boring villain.
- It's pretty brave to have a villain that rapes it's victims and then eats their head. If it had been a male insect doing that to female students I can only imagine the outrage.

Never Kill a Boy on the First Date - Series One, Episode Five

Notes
- So, about those Shemantis eggs...
- "Plunge and move on" is my personal dating strategy.
- Ha, the boy from the Sixth Sense is in this episode.
- Uh oh, social gathering. More buttrock.
- Another social gathering, another 90s band. Fucking Joss Whedon.
- If I was on a date with a girl and I asked her if she was having fun and she said "Yeah, I almost feel like a girl." I would ask for some fucking clarification.
- The strength of Buffy and the vampires is wildly inconsistent. Sometimes they throw people across rooms, other times, locked doors thwart them entirely.
- At the end, it looks like the Sixth Sense kid has fallen in line with the Vampire Master. I wonder if that plot point is going to be dropped like those Shemantis eggs.

Episode Rating

7/10

Big improvement from Episode 4. I hope this trend continues.

Character Ratings

Buffy: 7/10
- Nothing screams empowered female like swooning over a boy and trying to act smarter to impress him. Isn't that the plot of... every high school fiction ever?

Xander: 10/10
- I laughed at:
Quote :
Xander: So Buffy, how did the Slaying go last night?
Buffy: Xander!
Xander: Oh sorry! I mean, how did the laying go last night? *wink*
- His attempts to sabotage Owen and Buffy were funny.

Willow: 10/10
- "Why fight it?" indeed, Willow.

Cordelia: 1/10
- I thought she was going to "Carrie" Buffy while she was on her date with Owen.

Giles: 10/10
- Why did no one tell me his name is spelled "Giles"
- As noted above, his commentary on Buffy's Slayer skills is hilarious.
- Gilles is hilarious when he's knocking Buffy down a peg.

Angel: 6/10
- I feel like David Bandersnatch is being under utilized. His entire role so far is to passive-aggressively guilt Buffy into hunting vampires.
- Seriously, when she doesn't do what he wants, he'll just stand there jutting his jaw out while he sulks in a corner.

Owen: 7/10
- The actor looks like Xander's face on Angel's head.
- He's pretty cool, I wish he could stick around.

The Anointed One: 6/10
- He was alright.

The Master Vampire: 1/10
- Such a waste of time. He's not scary, interesting or funny.

Now, I'm not gonna say that I like the show and want to keep watching, but man is it easy to just plug one episode in after the other.

The Pack - Series One, Episode Six

Notes
- I'm guessing Werewolves from the title?
- The kids are on a field trip to a zoo. So maybe it's not werewolves and it's just animal people? I'll see.
- I can tell that I'm going to want to see each one of these 'bullies' receive a slow motion undercranked punch to the jaw Sherlock Holmes style.
- Buffy practices fighting on Giles whose equipped with gloves and a chest guard. If her strength was consistent, Giles would be nursing two broken wrists and a crushed solar plexus.
- They're gonna eat the pig aren't they.
- That was the worst game of dodgeball I've ever seen. If you throw the ball and someone catches it, you're out and someone on your team tags back in. You don't smile at the person who threw it at you and then underhand throw it back to them.\
- Yup, they ate the pig.
- Why are the Pack walking in slow motion while buttrock blares in the background? It lasts for about two minutes.
- "Xander has been acting totally wiggy since he went to the zoo!" 'Wiggy' is rapidly becoming my favorite adjective.
- So, about those Shemantis eggs...
- So, about that Vampire kid...

Episode Rating

7/10

Evil Xander was great, but the sheer unlikability and gurning of the other possessed pack brought it down.

Character Ratings

Buffy: 7/10
- There is literally nothing a girl as pretty as Buffy could do that would make her unpopular in high school. She could kill someone right in front of the entire school and then set their body on fire and most people guys would still probably want shag her. Basically what I'm saying is the fact that she's 'bullied' ruins MY IMMERSION!!!!
- I'm glad Buffy at least acknowledges that Angel's a weirdo vampire fetishist.

Xander: 8/10
- Xander nooooooooo
- I don't want to see Xander acting like a dick to Willow for the entire episode.
- Stop it Xander, don't throw a ball at Willow.
- NO XANDER, CUT IT OUT.
- Man, Evil Xander was totally gonna rape Buffy before she knocked him out and locked him up.
- Oh man, he didn't lose his memories of his possession. That's pretty awful.

Willow: 10/10
- "It's like the Heimlich, with stripes!" Oh Willow...
- Willow, you do not have a crush on Xander. You were born gay and that's fine. Embrace it.
- I have a sneaking suspicion that Xander's attitude in this episode is Joss Whedon's justification as to why Willow turned gay.
- God help me if Willow lets Xander go free because he pretends to have returned to normal.
- Good, she saw through him.

Giles: 10/10
-Great episode of Giles. All his scenes were gold.

Kyle and Friends (the bullies): 6/10
- It always frustrates me in TV shows when, even though the main characters can possess these fantastic powers ranging from super strength to the ability set people on fire or something, they always have to act all submissive around school yard bullies. Punch them in the face, Buffy! Like Superman has to be shown being emasculated by bullies so that nerds at home can feel good about themselves.
- I gotta admit, the blimp burn was pretty good.
- Oh wow, they ate the Principal. I wasn't expecting that.

Bob Flutie: 6/10
- I hope he becomes a monster at some point. A monster whose sole priority is to make the students of Sunnydale study hard and enacts a brutal vengeance upon them if they don't. Like The Mega-Dean in Community.
- RIP Mega Flutie.

The Coach: 8/10
- Should be in every episode.

Evil Zookeeper: 6/10
- Man, he sure was an evil zookeeper.

The Hyenas: 2/10
- They couldn't have just used Skinwalkers or Wendigos or something?

That's definitely one of the better, if not the best, episodes from season 1. As it's actually rather good, in contrast to the rest which are pretty average in comparison to Buffy in full swing.

Angel doesn't grow a personality till he gets his own show. But damn is it a great personality.

Also, Whedon isn't responsible for every episode. He only wrote/directed the series premiere and the season finale.

I have season 1 and 3. Whedon does jump in and out writing and directing but iirc he did do nearly a quarter to half of the episodes in season 1.

Angel doesn't grow a personality till he gets his own show. But damn is it a great personality.

Also, Whedon isn't responsible for every episode. He only wrote/directed the series premiere and the season finale.

I know, but he's easier to blame than the interns who clearly did write it.

One more before new Community.

Angel - Series One, Episode Seven

Notes
- Great, more boring Master Vampire.
- Wow, so they're actually paying respect to the idea that Vampires can't enter a house unless invited. Neat.
- Finally, Buffy finds out Angel's a vampire.
- Buffy walks in on Angel holding her Mum just after Darla bit her. Awkward...
- So once a Vampire is invited in, that invitation is good forever? Because Angel ran straight into Buffy's house when Darla attacked Buffy's Mum without being invited.
- Man, there was some gratuitous slow mo in this episode.
- Okay, crossbows have to reloaded after every shot, they are not semi-automatic Whedon.
- Guns outta nowhere. I don't even need to say that they don't fire realistically in the slightest.
- Darla didn't reload once and she was firing those things like crazy. My immersion or whatever.
- Even if I didn't know Angel eventually got his own show, you'd have to be an idiot to think he's leaving forever.

Episode Rating

8/10

Yeah, pretty good episode.

Character Ratings

Buffy: 7/10
- She's obsessed with Angel, geez.

Buffy's Mom: 0/10
- Meh.

Xander: 10/10
- Xander totally iceburned Cornerlia. That gets him a 10.
- Xander took a backseat this episode. Shame.

Willow: 10/10
- Willow was barely in this.

Giles: 10/10
- Same as Willow, Giles didn't really do anything.

Cordelia: 0/10
- Still just there.

Angel: 7/10
- Oh boy, an episode where Angel finally does something.
- I bet Angel killed his family.
- He is such a creepy weirdo.
- Technically, he's a paedophile.
- Totally knew Angel killed his family.
- So Angel got his soul back from a gypsy curse.
- Good on him for killing Darla. She was annoying.

The Anointed One: 1/10
- The kid had better do something soon so he doesn't become another Evil Master Vampire.

The Three: 1/10
- If Three vampires can beat Buffy. Why not send four? Or twenty seven?

Darla: 3/10
- Oh great, she's back.
- Darla gets some points for that plan of hers to turn Angel and Buffy against each other. That was pretty good.
- Haha, suddenly she's dual wielding pistols? Puts your crossbow to shame Buffy.
- Good, she's dead.

Evil Master Vampire: -1/10
- So boring.
- He just quoted Uncle Ben's responsibility speech when he talked to the Anointed One.
- What a whiny little bitch. He had to receive a pep talk from a ten year old.

I Robot... You Jane - Series One, Episode Eight

Notes
- Some scenes in Italy in 1418 establish that there is some sort of devil monster called Morloch the Destroyer. Some priests imprison him in a book. I wonder if it's going to end up in the Sunnydale library.
- Okay, so no one opened the book in 579 years? Not one Italian person thought, "Hm, there's a book in a chest. Should I open it or just send it across the Atlantic to a suburban high school?". Don't they check these things at airports? The chest wasn't even fucking sealed.
- Who the fuck are these three new people? One's named Fritz, but I didn't catch the over two. I hope they're dead by the end of the episode.
- The character talking about the transition to the internet as if it's a huge thing is insane. It was only 14 years ago.
- Great, the demon is in the computer. I suppose that explains the title.
- I just know this episode is going to be a huge aesop about: DO YOU KNOW WHO YOUR CHILD IS CHATTING TOO?!
- Oh my lol, a 90s webcam.
- Oh my lol, a 90s laptop. The brief scene with it also features some kid getting his essay ~*hacked*~ and replaced with "Nazi Germany was a model for a well ordered society".
- I have never heard the term "e-letter" before and I never want to again.
- Fucking 90s computers, I can't stop laughing at them.
- I like that Xander had to specify that Willow couldn't have been using the internet because the phoneline was free. The 90s, I love it.
- The final scene was genuinely funny.

Episode Rating

6/10

For all it's 90s computer stuff, it was still a decent episode. The monster was kind of meh, but the rest of the characters made up for it. I definitely want to see more of Xander and Buffy hanging out.

Character Ratings

Buffy: 9/10
- Man, Buffy's a nosy bitch when she thinks Willow has a boyfriend and she doesn't.
- This episode focuses on a Xander and Buffy companionship. It works, they should work together more often.
- I like how she storms straight into the CRD and ko's the security guard without breaking stride.

Xander: 10/10
- He's probably my favorite character, even though he tries too hard sometimes.

Willow: 8/10
- Oh Willow, please don't tell me you fell in love with the Demon Computer.
- Oh Willow, why did you fall in love with the Demon Computer?
- At least she had the good sense to reject the offer of the evil Demon Robot. That's something I guess.

Giles: 10/10
- Oh, his first name is Rupert.
- I liked his preference of books over computers because the books had texture and smell.
- I totally thought it would turn out that he and Ms. Calender were fucking. Oh well. One day, Giles. One day.

Fritz: 6/10
- One of the new guys. He's some sort of Computer Nazi, proudly representing the digital age while encouraging the hate and persecution of the book reading untermenschen. This obviously brings him in conflict with Giles, which means Fritz is a bad character. He's also the culprit of the Nazi Germany hack I mentioned above, this couple with the fact his name is Fritz leads me to believe Whedon is a racist.
- Man he's a freak. He was crazy before he got corrupted.
- Fritz may be a creep, but he's still one of the best villains this show has had.
- And then he gets his neck snapped.

Dave: 4/10
- Another one of the new guys. I bet Whedon thought he was clever putting a character named Dave into the episode with a sentient computer.
- Look like he got corrupted!!!!
- He also looks like Macaulay Culkin.
- Turns out he was a good guy in end, too bad he gets killed by Herr Fritz.

Ms. Calender: 2/10
- The last of the new guys. She's some smarmy teacher who trades barbs with Giles. Her name is arguably more stupid than Morloch the Corrupter.
- It turns out she's a 'Techno-Pagan' and that she figured out by herself that a demon had invaded the internet. Lame.

Morloch the Corrupter Computer Robot: 5/10
- Morloch is a fucking stupid name.
- Morloch is uploaded to a computer hard drive. I just pray this episode doesn't involve any sort of 'computer hacking' involved.
- Yup there's some computer hacking involved.
- I like that he manufactures a suicide note for Dave before ordering Fritz to kill him.
- Fuck me, now he's a robot.
- And he kills himself by punching a circuit box after being sealed in his robot body. Alright.
