finally discovered this game (SLOOOOOOOOPOKE, i know). when baal inevitably brings this i'l likely be playing as morrigan, wesker, and x-23--because i actually like them (only seen x-23 once before though, in that saturday-morning cartoon where she was wolverine's daughter-clone-thing), and maybe pick up spidey, deadpool, dante (one giant jerk-off), tron bonne, and hsien-ko. I have a feeling haseo's going to play as Arthur at the very least, along with chris perhaps.
i also hear dormammu andsentinel are broken as hell (from 4chan, so i'm not too sure.)

A SHITTY GAMER HAS APPEARED
Bought the game today. Was actually surprised they had it, because it doesn't come out till Friday here. Anyway, gonna become good at this game while I get an actual good online connection (which could take some time).

I don't like Capcom fighters or Marvel in general, but this game looks really fun. Is the game easy for someone who hasn't played the series before and how does the combo system work?
I don't think I'll be playing this, if I get it, for too long, so can a completely new player get decent without having to waste too much time? Oh, and one final question. Does everyone use the same 3-4 characters online like in the SF4 games?

They have two different combo types. Normal where you actually have to make an effort to learn the moves and swing the joystick in certain directions to get certain Hyper Combos. Then there is the simple fighting style, and needless to say, it lives up to the name. At first I was using just simple but I've already gotten they combos pretty much down pat for Normal(the combos are the same for everyone pretty much.)
And I haven't gone online yet still need to master the blocking and gets cancels down pat first.

There are so many good options so I doubt it. I suppose it's easy to get the hang of the game's controls when you aren't completely used to MvC2 which I was and it threw me off.

I'd say for him to stop playing on simple. He can't be much of a pro if he can only beat the n00bs.

For one, you can just super jump and that spam is rendered pretty useless. And if you're using Scorpion Spencer, you can aim and grab his ass from mid air.

People who bought the CE can use their codes "four weeks after the game launches" to get the DLC for free so I assume it'll be released on the store at the same time.

Of course anybody could see that the opponent was absolutely awful. I've dealt with that shit and proceeded to give the opponent the proper ass kicking.

Hehe, Iron Man's DLC costume is Osborn's Iron Patriot suit.

I'm getting pissed at not being able to approach and attack. Whenever I verse a very hard CPU, I can't approach them or else they just beat the crap out of me. They block everything I have and I can't block any of it.

I had to be cheap as hell to beat Very Hard.
I tell ya, whenever I go for the Very Hard titles it will always be "SENTINEL, MAGNETO, *INSERT THIRD PERSON HERE*"
Because there is no way I'm getting past it any other way that doesn't eat up time.

Certain characters like Chris or Deadpool they don't block as much for some reason but when I use Zero or Dante, it's practically impossible to hit them because they block everything. It's very odd.

There is no such thing as being able to block a certain number of times, some characters just get out of their animations faster than others.
