That homing grenade launcher is shit.

I'm really strung up over the shotguns, I want to use them but there are way too many situations where you need more range.

The burst one? Yeah, it's not great. Looks nice at first, but it's pretty crap. The missile version is better.

The tier 2 missile launcher is broken as fuck though 640 damage lock on, i didn't realise it wqas packing such a big punch.

Okay, is the AI suicidal? I'm having a far bigger problem with the bots running in front of me while I'm firing rockets than I am with them shooting me. Then run straight in front of me as well, so that I get hit by the blast.

I'm only around 180,000 exp from Tier 8 with my Battle now, so my mission for today is to smash through Inferno until I hit that.

Incidentally, the DLC T7 Missile Launcher that I said above wasn't all that - well, it is and it isn't. In game, it doesn't feel that much better than other available weaponry, but every time a play a level with it, my score on Inferno is consistently 4-5000 higher than with any other weapon combination. Essentially, the blast radius is so huge and the weapon so powerful it kills swarm enemies, even on Inferno, in two hits at most, and quite often it'll take out a dozen at a time without you really noticing. Case in point, I did 1-4 with Bots on Inferno. The Bots both had kill counts around 100 each. My kill count was over 400, my score for that level around 30,500.

With regards to a second character, having bought the Jet DLC pack, I'm trying that class again but taking into account the low Tier 2 class the weaponry just feel woefully underpowered. Battle always felt like it had a fighting chance, Jet feels like I'm constantly running backwards firing my pea-shooter at swarms of ants that Battle would simply swat aside. I know it requires a different play style, but having spent so long being able to charge in and go gung ho, it feels a little alien having to play keep away.

Annoyingly i just want the DLC as you guys have it...

But i will just buy my self something else later, i guess as it doesn't sound all that. I want something thats really different or aweosome before i'm interested, rather then a tier 7 version of a weapon already in game.

Basically, most of the DLC weapons are just more powerful variants of existing weapons. That's ot to say there are n't some really good weapons amongst them, because there are some crackers, it's just that there still aren't enough Tier 7 options, which given that's where most people will spend there time seems a bit of an oversight.

Well the US got these as pre-order items, so I suppose you're meant to have them all the way through, as opposed to being strictly for end game fun. Still annoying though.

Finally got my Battle armour to Tier 8, and it involved much swearing and other hilarity. On the plus side, his maximum health is up to 1800, or 2250 with armour so he can take a huge amount of punishment, even on Inferno. Anyway, Battle's Pesticide weapon is a Grenade launcher class Mortar, but in the interest of balancing it's also hugely flawed. As with all (I assume) Pesticide weapons, it does 500,000 damage over a massive blast radius which is basically a OHKO against anything other than top rank Elites on Inferno. However, as a mortar the Battle armour can only fire it within the hypothetical blast radius. While the mortar has a few second delay (in theory allowing you to backtrack(, invariably the blast will wipe out most Ravagers and your AI partners too. Yes, you can revive them but it gets annoying after the fifteenth time that mission. Secondly, the reload time is fifteen seconds, or about three times longer than even the slowest Rocket Launcher, and you have to reload after every attack. Thirdly, and most importantly, as a mortar it only attacks ground targets or those which fall into it's blast radius. This means it cannot deal damage to Hector Class 2 robots (which are the toughest enemy in the game I'd say) as they can only be damaged with strikes to their chest plates, and it also cannot damage the Queen; again, she requires strikes in specific areas on her body and the Mortar doesn't allow that.

On the plus side, I finally got the weapon drop I've been waiting for; Battle's ultimate Tier 7 Assault Rifle, the Hotfoot 6. It does 932 damage at a rate of 6 rounds per second. Unremarkable you say? Well, as an incendiary weapon it does double the quoted damage, which means it actually deals 1864 damage per shot. At six shots per second, that equates to a massive 11184 damage per second. The in-game description even says "this weapon led to the abandonment of competing weapons programs by other companies", or in other words it's so good every one else just gave up.

Jet's pesticide weapon is a sniper rifle and it's awesome because you can aim it precisely and fire it as far away as you want, especially if you gain some height by flying. It does use a whole energy bar to reload, but the reload time is pretty fast.

Oh man, that was a gargantuan effort. 2-2 on Inferno with my tier 6 Tactical. There was a bomb spider, then a mantis, then another bomb spider and two carriers, and then ANOTHER bomb spider and a second mantis.

There was one point where I died all way across the map from the two bots. They both had full health, but there was a bomb spider, a mantis, and tons of ants and ticks between me and them. Cyrus died just as he reached and Kid dies right after reviving me, and I got knocked down to 20% health in about half a second as I was back up. Revived Kid and legged it. Made it through in the end.

Anyways it really didn't take as long as i thought, the levels i struggled with were mexico especially the first one.

Besides me acing levels was actually so i could get all items from the first game to use in the second. The party person and create trophies are the only whoring i'm doing.

That one near the end of LBP2 with the elevator part is a real pain to ace.
