I get that, but going from rank 7 to 8 basically does require grinding as insane isn't all that fun.

The earlier levels are fun. Anything up to 2-3 on Inferno is doable and enjoyable. 2-4 is short and annoying, and anything after that is genuinely risky. Losing 25000 points because you die at the end of a stage isn't fun.

I need you to complete 3-1 to 3-5 for me while i host, the game hasn't registered me completing them. So you can just grab your pesticide rifle and get us through right

Pesticide weapons don't work online any more. Besides, pesticide won't really help for 3-1. It's mainly flying enemies. 3-3 is actually another mission that's relatively easy. The 3 Mantises at the end is my favourite encounter in the game.

I'm pretty certain they do in private games, I'm 90% certain that was a stipulation in the patch.

Oh yeah and you don't need to use pesticide if you can't be assed, i was just saying to be quicker as those levels can be jarring.

I don't understand why you said the Trooper was bad. Trooper has much better top tier weapons than either Tactical or Jet.

That assault rifle you're always wanting to buy is pretty good. Both of the tier 7 grenade launchers are good, the sticky one especially so. The tier 7 sniper rifle does 8500 per shot. Shotguns in general are pretty weak, but the Uberchoke is the best one I've encountered. There's a good tier 7 missile launcher, but it's a DLC weapon.

Homing weapons are Trooper's weak point, but he has good/great options for everything else.

If you are a completionist we're talking well over 100 hours (witout grinding i'd say 200+ hours easily), your super late to the show though, so i doubt you'll be able to get full 6 player parties for survival or full 3 player parties for story.

If you get this dirt cheap and you can get kamaka to get it to it might be worth it. The game came out at like 30 dollars or something so being able to pick it up at $5 wouldn't be that shocking at this point.

That said plans for a sequel should be well underway so i'm hoping we see that sometime this year. The sequel i doubt will play like this though the class absed system will most likely be removed.

I'm back on this (despite having a ton of games I've never touched) until Darksiders 2 arrives. I just have to get Battle to rank 8 and buy all the weapons and then play survival for ages and I'll have everything.

I want in. I love this game, but i get fucking bored of campaign grinding.

I'll do survival whenever anyone else wants to play. Doing survival alone is shit.

That was a fun session last night. Never expected to run into a random playing survival. The damn mics still cut out though, which is ridiculous.

Weren't they meant to have patched the mic issue? I guess not. I actually tried playing this a few weeks ago, but I'd completely lost my feel for the game, and sucked terrbily, even using tier 7 weapons.

I thought it had been fixed but it happened last night. Shame, because I was enjoying playing with a 3rd person. You should get on and play with us sometime Simian. It won't matter if you suck if there's enough of us.

The mic issue is considerbaly better then it was we played two hours straight before it happened.

We're mainly playing survival sim so you don't need to worry about sucking. Also i need to host a game and complete chapter 3 and part of chapter 2, as apparently I haven't completed the game according to it.

If we got a 6 man team on survival this could be freaking awesome. My jet should hopefully be tier 6 when i play with you moose BTW as my nephew wanted me to play with him. I still have shit characters thanks to Neo though.

I can always use lower rank weapons if you use weak characters. Battle at rank 6 already feels overpowered for hard mode.

I'd like to join in, but I'm currently dicking about trying to set up the new TV. This might take a while, I've got loads of stuff to disconnect / reconnect, I'll need to remount my wall mount then fiddle with the settings and see if I can scrounge some 3D stuff to watch through it.
