All my assault rifles had double the power, states are difficult to calculate honestly you need to test out the weapon eventually.

My T6 assault rifle is pretty good, as proven when it still managed to outkill-and-outpoint you and Nonny when you were using T7 weapons on your Trooper and Jet; my rifle hits for around 958 dmage, fires at 6 rounds per second with an ammo capacity of 50 and reload time of 3.4 seconds. Yes, I know we weren't really competing directly, but it made for an interestig watch.

So far, the best T7 assault rifle is 811 damage, 7.5 rounds per second with a clip size of 175 and reload time of 4.8 seconds. It has a much bigger ammo capacity, but in terms of DPS there's not much in it, the T6 rifle scoring 5748 damage per second, the T7 at 6082. Oh, and the T7 rifle cost 250,000 credits. Not worth it.

Of course, it may simply be that the T6 rifle is a Special Drop, the T7 is a "to buy" rifle and in my experience the drops are nearly always better than the stuff you buy (not least because they're free!). With all that said, I did buy a grenade launcher, largely becuase I've barely used them at all; damage is quite low for T7, around 1982 at a rate of 1.4 per seconds. However, the ammo clip is 22 (that's lots for a grenade type weapon) and the blast radius is huge at 30m - essentially, even on inferno, you can stand back and unload a clip into swarm enemies (ants, spiders, ticks etc) and wipe out groups of them in two or three rounds.

It's odd, the game by rights should be horrendously repetitive, but the ace co -op and the variety and inventiveness of the weapons keeps it feeling fresh, even the relative lack of levels means it doesn't feel like a chore to grind. Maybe a review is in order?

I do suspect its one of the best weapons in the game though.

The Jet's most damaging assault rifle at tier 7 does 900 damage and I think has 30 rounds at 5 shots per second. Assault rifles aren't Jet's strong point.

The best thing about Battle isn't his DPS, it's his durabiltiy - at T7 his health his around 1500, and with armour can go up to around 1850. Also, having the shield means he can use blast radius weapons at point blank range. The T7 grenade launcher I mentioned above being a good example; if you're being swarmed (which happens a lot on Inferno), aim at your feet, raise the shield and fire twice. That's 4000 damage within a 30m radius all around you. Nothing's left standing except you.

If, by some small miracle, something is still left, fire again. Your shield will likely be out of charge by this point, so back to the assault rifle and mop up the stragglers.

Anyone know a good level to farm for weapon drops? I've only got 63/107, so I'm missing lots of them. I'm also going to make a start on getting a second class levelled; what should I opt for?

Nonny seems to main Jet, but seconds Tactical, Buu mains Troop but seconds Jet, I've mained Battle and should second...?

I wouldn't bother weapon farming yet, just start levelling another class (or get pesticide for your battle trooper). When you get the pesticide thats the best time to weapon farm. I've got 80 something weapons without farming and only got a class 5 and 7.

Okay, so what should my next class be?

Probably trooper, playing with jet he'll seem stupidly underpowered. Not quite sure what the tactical is like, so you might wanna give him a go.

Wow, what was that, three weeks? We've now got a decent sized group playing.

28 days since it shipped out, 10 days since their "maximum delivery time" expired. If it were any other shop or site I'd probably cut and run at this point but this has never happened before and the woman I spoke to was going to give me a full refund if I wanted it.

DLC is out today. Not sure about it. Even for the classes I haven't played yet, eventually I'll only be using tier 7 weapons, so the lower tier DLC weapons are pretty useless.

Are there any T7 weapons included in said DLC or is it all lower end stuff?

Each pack has 1 tier 7 weapon for it's chosen class (Jet or Battle), and 1 each for Trooper and Tactical, so 6 in total.

Oh wait, Battle gets 2 tier 7 weapons in the pack. That one might be worth getting then since I haven't played Battle yet.

My Battle is currently t7, but is it worth paying two quid (or whatever else it costs) essentially for two weapons? Of course not. Actually, like Moose I'd have reservation about the lower tier stuff as well. Even on normal difficulty, you'd only spend perhaps four levels at T2, maybe half a dozen at T3. On Inferno online co-op you can literally level up once a level until T4, when it takes two levels to level up. So you don't spend very long as a low tier, certainly not enough to justify further expenditure on weapons you'll use once.

Each pack has some weapons for Trooper and Tactical as well. I'll probably get the battle pack for the 4 tier 7 weapons it has. The shotgun for Tactical is apparently great.

The tier 7 weapon for Jet in the Jet pack is just a more powerful version of a weapon I never liked, so I doubt I'll get that one.

Dammit, I'm such a pushover. I saw a few people raving about one of the Battle's T7 DLC weapons, and despite knowing damn well it wouldn't be worth it I bought the Battle DLC pack. Of course, the minimum funds you can add to your PSN account is a fiver, so I had £2.50 odd left over. This being the case, I bought the Jet DLC pack as well.

Not really tried many of the weapons yet, but Battle's T7 Rocket Launcher, the Z15 Carcharias (the one that everyone on GFAQs raved about) is a little underwhelming. It's a single shot projectile (no lock on or homing functionality) that does over 4k damage with a 30m blast radius and a reload time of just over one second. Sounds great, yes? Thing is, I mean it literally when I call it a single shot projectile. You have to reload after every shot, and if you miss the active-reload window you're standing for two seconds not killing stuff. On Inferno that's pretty much you dead. Yes, it's pretty good for damaging swarm enemies, but I think I still preferred my T7 grenade launcher; it did less damage per single hit, but was infinitely more spammable.

The only other weapon I tried was Trooper's T4 grenade launcher, the Clontarf CB-ef. It was pretty effective on Normal difficulty, OHKOing swarm enemies, but considerably less useful on Hard. Mind you, not many T4 weapons really impress on Hard so I guess I can forgive it that.

I got the Battle pack. Won't be getting the Jet one.
