In the subject of Pesticide weapons, I already knew (from trawling Gfaqs) that Battle's is the least useful one. Doesn't really bother me though; I'd never use Pesticide online, it's purely for farming weapon drops offline. *cough3-2cough*

I got LBP as part of my "welcome back" package, but I literally haven't even so much as started it up yet, let alone played it in anger.

Tactical's tier 7 damage output is atrocious. The various turrets and stuff are his deadliest weapons. Proximinty mines do 8000 damage each, and I've got a guided missile turret that does 2000 per missile. But his guns are shit.

Were Jet's weapons noticably more damaging?

Yes. I thought Jet had shit assault rifles, but Tactical doesn't even have assault rifles. Only sub-machine guns. The tier 7 ones only do about 400 damage per shot. Tactical does have one very good missile launcher, but that's it. The tier 7 shotguns aare fun, but getting close enough o use them isn't really Tactical's specialty.

He sounds awful. I think u shd main him moose and wrk out how to use him

Well I'm now trying to level up my Jet a bit, but it's hard going. I'm just about to break into Tier 4, at which point I'm going to head to Hard difficulty to speed things up a bit; only getting 2k per mission on normal means levelling up takes a g e s.

It appears I'm missing a tier 7 assault rifle weapon drop for Tactical that is supposed to be one of his best weapons. I am annoyed.

Which weapon pack comes with the Tactical T7 shotgun that is meant to be really good?

The battle one. It's good but the low ammo makes it annoying to use.

I'm just going to farm weapons with my pesticide rifle until I've got them all. It's get me decent amount of money as well, since I get about 25k for doing 3-2.

Thats what i intended on doing if i bothered to get my trooper up to tier 8.

I need to play this again.

Tacticals big weakness is simple crowd control. Basic ants and spiders in swarms are a real hassle. Single targets or anthills are easy though. I cleared out that crater with the 4 hills at the end of 2-5 with ease.

Proximity mines are the single most damaging weapon in the game on a shot-for-shot basis, apart from tier 8 weapons. Each one does 8'000 damage, and I can lay down up 10 at a time. That seals up anthills pretty fast. Then I plonk a plasma turret on top to protect me while I set the charge.

Got ym Jet up to Tier 5 and finally get some half decent weapons. Okay, maybe that's a touch unfair; Tiers 1-4 were fine for Normal mode, but didn't cut it on Hard, which is where I've spent most of my Jet time. I was getting a touch bored of each ant taking four shots from my strongest rocket launcher, but the advent of Tier 5 weaponry means that is no longer the case.

I'm still not convinced that the DLC pack was an entirely worthwhile purchase though. Yes, the weapons are a little better than the regular stuff, but thus far none of them have been worth-paying-for better. Hopefully Tiers 6 or 7 will rectify that.

Meanwhile, I'm making my way through Inferno with my Tier 8 Battle armour and he feels incredibly slow and plodding after playing as Jet for more than five minutes. Of course, he counters with much more health and armour, and access to weaponry with a destructive power Jet can only dream of.

I'm still enjoying the game too, which surprises me a little. Thank the online for that. (though I've noticed Nonny and Buu have been online a lot less the past week - you guys finally starting to move on to something new?)

I still play it a lot. Just at night usually, after work.

I've just been a bit busier then normal. Also i can't play if i'm looking after my nephews. That said if its not really late at night and you see me on here just point out you wanna play this.

I try to only play this multiplayer as i'd llike all of us to get to max level rather then anyone get bored of grinding on there own. I'm not in a particular rush to do anything in this game as this i'm considering my main multiplayer.

I mean i could use lower tier weapons but thats not ideal as my health will be unrealistically high as well as other buffs i'll have. Without fear of death the games not as entertaining for me.
