RD united: EDF is now recruiting "Whats wrong troops you want to live forever?" (insect armageddon) (2017) (2025)

Started the first campaign mission and shit gets real from the start.  Basically you get to choose 1 of 4 troop types, i'm choosing the all rounder for single player but when we co-op i'll choose a specialist.

So guys, I need a corporal who wants to be it, you can be one till your dead or i find someone better?

What difficuly did you start on?

Normal as i'm hardcore.

looks like you have to play with everyone a bit. Weapon unlocking looks complex though, seems you need to find them then unlock access to that tier of weapon.

So when we play multiplayer i'm just gonna only use tier 1 weapons or whatever tier you guys have unlocked. If i got more armour then you deal with it.

Anyway, it seems that the heavy armour is way more fun then the others as he literally can wade through the ants with a shotgun, pretty fucking badass if you ask me.

Tactical moose's in theory best character plays like shit, and the trooper is way better. Jet guy will probably be the second best mainly due to the ammo/jet energy problem which was a pain in the ass in the intense battles in GDF.

If the Jet armour offers the least amount of protection like it says it does, then Heavy must make you invincible.

I didn't play long with the heavy armour but seems you can pretty much wade rightinto the enmy without a problem not sure about those giant robots though.

Tactical turned out to be pretty decent.

I think this is one of the best co-op games i've played, i'm shocked at the lack of lag and it seriously makes a huge difference having humans helping you.

Can't imagine how much damage we'll be able to do as a team of 3 or 6.

The chaotic nature of gameplay and specialist abilities of characters really makes it a treat.

The fact that the environments are fully destructible is something i've been waiting for this whole gen.

Once you complete the campaign you get the option to turn the AI partners off, so they don't steal your kills and exp.

Seems like the bigger enemies always drop a weapon when they die. The drops seem random though. I'm picking up all kinds of crap I can't even use yet.

If these come up on sote i'm getting them:

Jet's weapon selection as it is is great. I got him up to tier 3 and got an awesome grenade launcher. I was using the P19 Pestilox because it has 20 ammo so you can go for a while without having to reload. It's a single grenade and reloading takes 5 seconds though. Now I'm using the Bohampscious Xc. Only 6 rounds, but fires 3 grenades at once and reloads in 2.25 seconds. It's my default weapon now. My other gun launched 3 homing missiles. They're pretty weak but the fire rate is fast and it reloads in 2.3 seconds, so it's alright. It's mainly for bosses, while the grenade launcher is for carpet bombing grunt enemies from above.

Wow, never looked at the stats page before. It tracks all your kills and weapon unlocks and everything, even how many kills you still need for the various trophies. Plat'ing this is is going to take fucking ages, but that's just because the trophies require killing a ludicrous amount of enemies.

Yeah but there's trophies for killing 10'000 ants and 10'000 spiders and 100 carriers and all kinds of nonsense. I've only got about 3'000 kills total so far. Most of those with grenade launchers.

I got the 1000 ants trophy while playing with you. I've only just finished chapter 1 and thats not including all the other characters i'll be and the fact we'll have AI turned off 3 difficulty settings with more enemies. There pretty easy assuming you actually max every character.

Leveling each armour to max is going to be the hardest thing I reckon, because you have to play on the highest difficulty to do it. There's also ones just for survival mode, but none of them seem hard.

inferno is easy especially with the broforce.

The weapons really pick up at tier 4. That heat seeking rocket thing as great.
