Raised myself to Tier 5 now, and Hard mode suddenly feels a little less threatening. It's still very possible to die, but at least I can get on the front foot rather than having to play defensive.

Oh, and the Blastwave technique (the one you saw me using, Buu) got an upgrade going into Tier 5 as well. It's now got a larger radius and hits harder, so even on Hard mode it's still effective.

We had a full on bromance with 3 player coop goodness. Me, baal and moose. Teamwork was good until Moose said he didn't want me to pimp him out.

Should I cancel my order? At this rate it seems like you guys will be finished with the game by the time I get it and I really can't be bothered playing solo, I have too many other games.

The game still has a lot of live left it in, so no I wouldn't cancel.

EDIT: Further to my comments about Hard and Inferno being huge step ups in difficulty, check out the health values of the enemies (pinched from GameFAQS);

So, yeah, enemies on Hard have roughly five times the health of enemies on normal, and enemies on Inferno have five times the health of enemies on Hard (though the bigger enemies seem to be scaled down a little in that they only have three times the health of their Hard mode equivalent). Essentially, this means that enemies on Inferno are twenty five times more difficult than Normal. Wow. Coupled with increased damage output and fewer health drops, that's not so much a difficulty gradient as it is a vertical climb.

Got myself up to Battle Tier 6 now, and went back and tried 3-4 on Normal again, the same level that had overwhelmed me at Tier 4. Yeah, about that. It just goes to show how much of an upgrade each tier gives you that Queenie only took about two dozen rockets before expiring, and 3-5, even with Hectors big and small everywhere, was a joke.

One of my Tier 6 unlocks is the Hotfoot V, the incendiary assault rifle, and it takes five rounds into a small Hector's chest to bring him down. Yep, five rounds to bring down a Hector. I remember hearing their distinctive battle cry early game and thinking "oh crap", now I just think "ooh, shiny new weapon drop!". Speaking of which, I picked up eleven weapon drops in 3-5, seven of which were new. Nice.

i'll be playing thsi till i get the sequel and I'll probably be up for games on this occasionally anyways, so i doubt there won't be time for me to play with you.

Even after I've got all the weapons and upgrades, there's still survival. Haven't touched that yet.

Tactical has an ever better version of the Ewor grenade launcher. The Nungus. It fires a missile that bursts into 6 homing missiles. Each missile does almost the same damage as the Ewor missiles, but there's 6 instead of 4, and they have a much better turn rating. Less ammo, but a much faster and easier reload.

Also, I noticed that the difficulty effects the active reload timing window. On Normal, the white bar is bigger than it is on Hard, for the same weapons.

Sorry I had to bail guys, but that was a really good laugh and listening to the two of you banter is genuinely funny. You could be a comedy double act. Also LOL at Buu using tier 3 or 4 on Inferno.

Aaaaaand there's Tier 7. Upgraded my Bug Zapper and Blastwave specials, and got access to Tier 7 gear as well, which is bloody expensive, around a quarter of a million credits for each weapon. Suffice to say, I'll be scouring the stats page for a while before buying anything.

Is it just me, or do some of the Tier 7 weapons not seem like huge improvements on the Tier 6 stuff? It may just be because I've not unlocked any T7 weapon drops for my Battle class, but all the 'to buy' weapons offer only a marginal improvement over T6 equipment at about five times the cost.
