Baal watches Infinite Stratos

Infinite Stratos is a harem anime that also mixes in action about some guy who goes to a school filled with girls to learn how to fight with mechs or something and meets even more girls who want his penis and why am I watching this show, you ask? Because there's a lot of porn of it and unlike My Little Sister, there seems to be legit fanservice and not be a show centered around incest.

Episode 1
+The girls staring at Ichika at the beginning of the episode and completely ignoring the teacher because it was so shocking was kind of funny.

+Ichika is hilariously blunt.

+Cecilia is alright despite being one of those typical "Greater than thou" characters... then again she is from Britain so it's only to be expected.

+The girl still in her pajamas during breakfast added a little bit of flavor to the school, it was only that girl but still it's little touches like that which make a setting seem more realistic.

+Chifuyu is awesome.

-Ichika is dense.

-Houki is the annoying tsundere archetype that shows her affection by attempting to kill Ichika for circumstances that are out of his control. This is ridiculously annoying because whenever she tries to actually be affectionate later it just seems stupid as she was trying to kill him not that long ago.

-The entire idea that Ichika was randomly roomed with Houki is asinine.

-SO MUCH FUCKING EXPOSITION. Jesus christ, it's ridiculous how much we need stated about Ichika is Houki's childhood friend rather than them just showing it.
-IS's are apparently mech skins that are in the Olympics and Chifuyu won a gold medal or something, it's retarded.

-The episode decides to end on if males are stronger than women because only women can use IS's for some ridiculously convoluted reason that will no doubt be brought up later and Ichika is the only guy who could use them and apparently these mechs are so strong that if men were to go to war with women that tanks, bombs, guns could not do shit to them despite us having seen that the mech suits do not cover the hole body and the head is proudly on display so there is nothing to stop a sniper from just blasting them in the skull.

-The episode starts off showing us some battle that will be shown later. This is a bad story telling device because it just builds expectation to what that is only for it to be a disappointing fight later because you built your expectations too much.

-This is not a slide towards the show itself but the subbers are fucking awful. Not only does the text take up 1/3 of the screen if there's a lot of dialogue, it also drags on to the next line with words being half at the end of the first line and half at the beginning of the second line, let me show you.

Kuriri, you know I did not watch that crap. I'm making an assumption based on what I know about the Japanese and anime featuring a girl and male as the main characters. Hell, from what I read of the character descriptions, the only character I like is Manami.

Also, I do not recommend watching the first episode if you are British, they pretty much blatantly state how much England sucks and so does their food.

Was there ever a good harem other than Love Hina?

Love Hina was bad too. The only good harem is Kampfer's and that's because the girls are willing to realize the man they're going for is a complete idiot and still love him despite it. It's kind of sweet in ways that anime usually does not bother to try and point out.

Episode 2
+Those three girls that are always following Ichika, they're funny.

-There is like no plot at all yet. It's just random wacky hijinks with the girlfriend crew.

-The IS' look awful. The designs are so silly looking, you can't take them seriously then there's the entire idea that the pilot is blatantly out in the open which I guess isn't as much of a problem since they have shields but apparently there are some IS which use their shields for attacks and the fact that said shields can go down and the pilot will be out in the open entirely is stupid.

-Several things literally come out of nowhere. Ichika's declaration about protecting his sister's name just because he's using her sword, the entire thing with Houki's older sister being the IS creator and the transforming of the IS which apparently had to format itself at the last fucking second so could Ichika could make a come from behind victory but still lose because he's an idiot.

-Cecilia's in love with him now because... yeah, there's really nothing that he did during the fight other than outclass her which could've possibly given her these feelings and in this anime outclassing Cecilia will gain you her heart or something despite her IS sucking massive balls.

-Chifuyu's assistant is really awkward.

-Houki offers to train Ichika about IS' but instead of actually training him in the ways of how IS' work, she just trains him in kendo and feeds him to the sharks. This is made worse by the fact that a random senior shows up to offer help to Ichika and then Houki uses her status as the little sister of the creator of IS' to get her to leave despite showing clear disdain for her sister earlier, it's pathetic.

-Seriously, what the fuck? WHo in the hell uses mechs for the Olympics? That's about the retarded use of mechs I could conceive.

Episode 3
+Cecilia has calmed down and actually gained a personality.

+Ichika is actually receiving IS training.

-Still no signs of a plot.

-Rin is introduced and man was she was awesome for about 5 minutes. After those 5 minutes she became a loli version of Houki. I'm serious, she's a tsundere archetype, smarts off to Ichika constantly, is a childhood friend of Ichika's and thinks she is entitled to him because of some promise she made to him when they were kids which seems to be worded very poorly so Ichika doesn't understand it. Then again Ichika is very dense so of course he doesn't understand it's about marriage.

-The CG looks awful. I should've brought this up earlier but it's extremely obvious when something is CG'd and it looks bad.

-Houki only acts nice whenever some miniscule detail is brought up by Ichika that she can read into it, IE: Ichika noticing she's wearing a new sash makes her super happy and so does being called the "First" childhood friend like that's some sort of accomplishment.

Episode 4
+Cecilia and Chifuyu just keep getting better.

+There is finally some trace of a plot.

+The fights were decent although the last ended in a really dumb way.

-For being such a big threat, that big IS went down pretty easily.

-Aforementioned end of fights.

-Houki shows up out of nowhere to yell at Ichika for no reason during his fight, it was really stupid.

-There was a really good moment of character for Chifuyu where she poured salt in coffee while saying that everyone else needed to calm down, it showed that she was really worried for Ichika.... however, they proceeded to point out that she was pouring salt and ruin the moment. Show by doing, NOT TELLING FOR FUCKS SAKE.

Episode 5
+Houki is finally moved from Ichika's room.

+Char Dunois is finally introduced and they are not even trying to hide that she is actually a girl in the slightest. Char is the best so far, because out of all of the love interests she's very down to Earth so far and in a harem anime, that comes a long fucking way.

+As if on cue, Laura is introduced and she is awesome too because the first thing she does is slap Ichika.

-Cecilia and RIn look like complete shmucks so Yamada can look good.

-The plot disappeared after one was finally made.

-Houki is getting worse and worse.

-They pulled the old tired cliche of one of the girls being an awful cook, but what's even worse is that they didn't it for a food that you actually cook like pasta or soup or anything like that... they did it for sandwiches... it was every bit retarded as it sounds.

-They really are not trying to hide that Char is a girl at all it's quite funny actually.

Episode 6
+Wow an episode I enjoyed for the most part.

+Char is a really good character, she's not exaggerated, she's not over the top and she's not stupid, she acts like a human being and she is my favorite character because of that. Hell, it's probably worth watching the rest of this crap to see more of it.

+The scene where Ichika realizes Char is a girl is hilarious. It's played so straight but it's also a very calm scene. Ichika walks into the shower, sees her naked and hands her body soap and awkwardly walks out with this hilarious look on his face. Then they discuss why she's faked being a guy very calmly and Ichika actually becomes a pretty cool guy for how he took her being a girl and it's handled very tastefully, which I was shocked by.

+Laura is still kind of cool, but they're gonna have to do something with her soon or else she's getting to be annoying.

+Chifuyu is a great big sister.

-The plot is still just... not there.

-Houki, what more needs to be said?

-Cecilia was actually kind of annoying during this episode too.

Yeah, not much to complain about as this was a really good episode for the most part.

Anyways, I'm taking a break from this for today I'll finish it tomorrow.
