Dragon's Crown is a 2D beat 'em up with RPG elements being developed by Vanillaware for the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita. It is being published by Ignition Entertainment, supports 4-player co-op and will be released spring 2012 in every region of the world. The game will have at least six different character classes, and have players explore a labyrinth full of monsters, bosses and treasure of different kinds.
Made by the same devs who did Muramasa: The Demon Blade for Wii, this looks like it could be an amazing co-op game.

You have to get through all of the first stages before you unlock multiplayer.

I played for like ten seconds but thats enough for me to say i love it.
If anyone else is jumping on the bandwagon anytime soon let me know so i can get more characters up to the end of the tutorial. It looks like i can save 16 characters in total, so I should be able to cover everyone. If you need me to play a certain character I'm ok with that, but keep in mind until i've played all six i don't wanna double up.
Obviously We're each playing with each other at same levels, TTB and Neo are gonna be playing with me I think.

What classes are we calling dibs on?
They all seem quite decent, but traditionally I prefer playing as ranged magic-dealers, so I'm likely going to stick with Sorceress and her huge chest or Wizard.

When you getting this?
Neo has gone Wizard.
I said i'd be whatever I thought supported the party best, if you and TTB are long range, I'm going for Fighter which is the knight, as he's got defensive support spells for the party.
From what I understand.
Amazon is a berserker full on offensive character, if you stop hitting you lose your bonuses. Wizard is long range, with offensive spells. Elf is an archer has bow for long range and daggers for close range, she's weakest at beginning, but can potentially have highest damage output. Sorceress I think is Ice, has some healing ability and summons things. Dwarf grabs the crap out of things and I heard can dual wield. he's a tank Fighter is also a tank and has suppot defence spells has the shortest reach. He doesn't seem to slow though.
Apparently you can pick up spells to use to, I dunno which classes can use them, but i'd assume the sorceress and wizard. If i can use them i'll let you know.

BTW i'm told the servers aren't region locked, but be wary of patches kinda cocking that up. As we all seem to be on different patches.

There was supposed to be a patch to add Vita crossplay. If that was true I might get the Vita version (if I get it at all) since it's cheaper.

Oh yeah you're right came out this week, I should've said on sale. Or i'll just wait a bit, gonna be too busy playing this.
The dwarf animiations are pretty hilarious. You can also give him a ginger beard so he's great. I don't think i'll get used to how he handles without playing with him for a while though. Although that might be because I tried the fighter and he feels different.

Alright so I just checked you seem to share loot and inventory across all your charcters and that seems to include their money to. You can store 500 items though so even with a shitload of characters that probbly won't be an issue. So the axe my fighter found the dwarf can use.
On closer inspection the Dwarf seems pretty fucking awesome. I don't like that he can't uppercut directly, i think he can when he's unarmed, but he can lift people over his head to throw like a baseball its pretty badass.

I've got this game too and Amazon was the first character I picked when it came out and she is fucking ridiculous, I can tell anyone who picks her how to play her if they need help.

Sorceress has the highest luck, which means she has a better chance of getting good stuff if she opens treasure chests. Wizard has the worst luck so obviously, the opposite is true of him, even if his offensive skills are slightly stronger.

This is nothing based on jiggle physics obviously. Going by how long we'd play assuming we go through to the hardest parts in the same party it won't make much of a difference, besides i'm fine with sharing loot if its doable.
You getting this? Just so we know if we're waiting for you or not. Moose sounds like he'll get it to, so if you're not getting it soon thats another third person available, but people wil most likely do multiple characters anyway.

There's no jiggle physics buu. It's all hand drawn jiggle.

I'll get it, yeah. Depends on a couple of variables though.
Firstly, is the artbook any good? I usually like that kind of thing.
Second, cost vs time. From Zavvi it's £35 (without artbook) or £37 from Shopto (with artbook), or I can get it digital for £36. So a physical copy is potentially cheaper than a digital copy (no surprise there) but will obviously take a few days to arrive.

I'm a sucker for "nice things", so I just bought it off Shopto, should be here Monday or Tuesday.
