which sadly isn't going to happen since Oberyn has to lose (which 100% means death) for Tyrion's story.

I hope they dont change that trail by combat.. it was one of my favourite parts in all the books....

They won't. Episode 8 is called The Viper and The Mountain.

well, dumbass isn't the right word really, but they're treating him like he's an idiot in the series, and I don't quite remember that from the books..

Mace was always kinda a bumbling fool in the books. Oleanna was the real brains for the Tyrells, and mace was just a figurehead.

It's a shame he only has a couple of episodes left, with any luck the writers will try to make him a bit less awful like they seem to be attempting to do with Dany.

Hopefully they just omit Penny outright. They've done away with more important characters.

I dunno, Penny could turn out to be Azor Ahai reborn and save the world. Either way we'll find out when TWoW comes out in 15 years.

It's pretty much a lock that they won't change the trial by combat at all. Book fanatics go batshit over every little change in the show already. A major change in plot line would make them go absolutely ballistic on W&B. Take this recent episode for instance.

That's dumb, the only gripe I had with that episode is that they made Robert slightly less of a cunt than his book self.

My only gripe was how they brought Rorge and Biter back, only to be killed in 3 seconds flat by Arya and the Hound.

The Hound needed a wound that could get infected and it was a little bit of development for Arya. I thought it was a decent addition.

^although a bit silly to be honest, iirc in the books he's badly hurt in the battle at the bar, and that's why Arya leaves him behind eventually cause he can't go on anymore due to the wounds..


being bitten by a guy that leaves an infection just doesn't really compare...it's not as fitting for a character as The Hound to "go down" that way..

It's an infection that gets Sandor in the books too, he asks Arya to kill him quickly and she refuses.

yeah, I know, it's just that death from an infection from a stupid bite as opposed to death from an infection due to some more serious injuries after a battle... I think he deserved a less pansy way to go, that's all.
