| Speaking of which, yesterday was that stop-motion Christmas episode and some other one I didn't care for. It's actually on again right now. Neat. | |

| I just caught up with the show. I feel that while it was awesome the reason behind the paintball war is still incredibly stupid and so was that card thing they had going for a while.
Still that was an awesome finale.

| Just finished the second half of season 1, and I can't decide whether I like the first or the second season better. Both good, though. | |

| This show was amazing. Like, literally amazing. The first season started off alright but once it hits its stride it's impossible to stop watching. I can't wait for September. Characters (whom I can remember) in the order of their likability. Annie (love her) Abed Troy Jeff Pierce Dean Chang Britta Duncan Magnitude Professor Professorson Annie's Boobs Starburns Leonard Shirley It's weird seeing John Oliver - someone who I know from Mock the Week - playing a character. So did you prefer season 1's more grounded stories or season 2's grand, over the top episodes? | |

| From the same episode as Troy's face, I love the part where Jeff kicks the crap out of Pierce for pretending to be his dad. | |

| That whole episode is great, with Pierce messing with all of them. | |

| The hospital episode was one of my favourite season 2 episodes. Still think McHale and Glover should've gotten Emmy nods for that. Pudi should've got one for My Dinner With Abed. | |

| Season 2 was much better than Season 1 for me.
First of all, they fixed Britta's character. Britta in Season 1 was alright as what was basically a live action Lisa Simpson, but in Season 2 they tuned in to how unlikable this made the character and ran with it. Now she's a kind of pathetic loner hipster and is a much funnier character. ("You're the AT&T of people!")
I really liked Pierce's character arc. In the first season he was kind of hit and miss, but in season two he plays such a fantastic villain ("Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaat") and his disproportionate retribution whenever he feels left out totally won me over. The fact it stem from his father rejecting him in that commercial and that he's been without friends at the college for 12 years justifies his actions to an extent.
Annie's awesome. Abed's awesome. Jeff's awesome. Troy's awesome.
I thought it was strange that they just dropped the idea of Jeff taking lessons from Rich (the pottery doctor). I expect that'll get addressed next season.
The My Dinner with Abed episode was kind of lost on me, since I hadn't seen the original. It wasn't the worst episode of the season though. Speaking of the worst episode:
Shirley is literally Laverne from Scrubs or any other 'religious black older woman who judges others for their sinful ways but is actually a hypocrite' archetype from any sitcom you care to mention. The difference is that since she's a main character, every so often they have to have a "Shirley episode". Fortunately, midway through Season 2, her story arc got tied to Chang's, so any episode that prominently featured her also featured him.
My favorite episode would probably be the clip show episode. Or the hospital episode. Or the bottle episode. Modern Warfare might be fourth. Or fifth, since I think I like the Season 2 paintball episode(s) more. |

I got bored with Annie during season 2. Apart from the conspiract episode, which she was great in. That's probably my favourite episode of season 2.

I never watch Dinner With Andre either, but it felt more like a Tarantino homage anyway. Not just the Pulp Fiction costumes, but the way the entire episode was written. Abed showing up in Cougar Town later was great. Buffy/Angel next, yes?

| Yeah okay. Explain to me how Buffy and Angel tie into each other. I know the latter is a spin off, but how should I go about watching them? |

| Also make a watchthrough topic so we can all laugh at how bad Buffy season 1 is. | |

| I just did some math and figured out that I just agreed to watch 179 hours of TV. Bollocks. |

| You'll come out of it a better man. Imagine Firefly if it was 18 times longer. | |

I thought the Hyena episode was okay, though on the whole you're right.

| The hospital episode was a more favourable one of mine too. There's also the DnD one, the stop-motion Christmas episode and that paintball two-parter at the end of season 2, they were all pretty good. | |

| I found Entourage to be more interesting and I've only seen 2 1/2 episodes. Nothing against this show, though. | |
