| First off, I saw most of the first two season when they first aired, and I did like it. At that point it stopped airing on terrestrial TV in the UK, and I didn't bother keeping up with it online because it seemed like it was going to keep getting sillier and end up a mess. Which from what I've heard sounds about right. But anyway, second chances and all that. I'll start from the first episode of season one and go right through to the end, or at least that's the plan. I was going to watch all the Godzilla movies, and you know how that turned out. I'll get round to it at some point.
So, I'm going to watch the 2 part pilot episode now.

| Kate is the worst character and Evangeline Lilly is the worst top-billed actress on primetime television. | |

| I think she was a larger part of why i thought the programme was dragging, her episodes didn't interest me, but i felt i had to watch them in case something important happened, when i bother watching this again, i'm just gonna read synopses of her episodes.
That is how much i can't stand her, and i'm the kinda person who stops watching a series if they miss one episode.

| Her episodes are filler. They don't progress the plot and neither does it progress her character in any way. They all end being about RUNNING AWAY. It's not until late season three that her episodes get interesting and relevant again. | |

| Also guys, don't spoil any stuff for me. At least nothing beyond the first 2 seasons.
Episode 1-2: Pilot (I assume that means it's the pilot episode, and not a reference to the pilot of the plane, which didn't have a very big role).
I'm gonna keep track of all the big questions and answers as I go through, for shits and giggles.
That was pretty good. Considering the large number of characters, it did a good job balancing everything and introducing a lot of people. No one really stands out yet, although Jack, Kate and Charlie seem to be the main characters so far. They're the only ones who have had flashbacks anyway.
Locke's all mysterious (asking little kids if they want to know a secret, weirdo), and Sawyers a total dickhead. Shannon's a bit annoying. Hurley and Claire are alright. Michael, Walt and that Japanese couple are all meh.
I was confused about thing (other than the main mystery points). When Jack, Kate and Charlie came back with the transceiver, Boon asked if there were any survivors in the cockpit, and Jack says no. But later when they kill the bear Boon asks if that's what killed the pilot. How does he know that something else killed the pilot? Also, Charlie replies that it was something much bigger than killed the pilot, and no one seems interested. I suppose they've all heard the noises from the jungle, but no one cares that the pilot was alive and that monster killed him?
Mysteries: 1) What the hell is that giant thing that's running around the jungle? 2) Why is there a polar bear on a tropical island?

| The fact that it's a bear of any description is still a mystery. I did joke about Lost being a prelude to a new Jurassic Park film when it started. A friend of mine was really into it and it would wind him up. | |

| Episode 3: Tabula Rasa
Kate episode. It was alright. Didn't get to find out why she was on the run though. Sawyer's obvious inner pain better get some kind of explanation soon before it gets too annoying. Locke is still all mysterious. Having the episode with a big close up on while the quite jolly music that was playing faded out made that pretty clear. Michael saw Sun's titties too. I assume she didn't tell her husband, because he'd probably have something to say about that.

| Episode 4: Walkabout
Locke episode. A mysterious episode for a mysterious man. Good though. He's the most interesting character so far. Mainly because he's all "IT'S MY DESTINY!" and "DON'T TELL ME WHAT I CAN'T DO!". He got a look at that monster too, but he isn't telling anyone. Turns out he was disabled before the crash, but now he's not. What's up with that?
Also, Jack saw a man in a suit off in the distance a couple times, but couldn't find him when he went looking.
Mysteries: 1) What the hell is that giant thing that's running around the jungle? 2) Why is there a polar bear on a tropical island? 3) How come Locke can walk now when he couldn't before? 4) Who was that guy in the suit?

| 3. Reasons Locke can walk. He forgot that he couldn't/ this place is some kind of dream/ there all dead/ the crash fixed his spine/ some kind of alternate reality
4. Man in suit, could be the beast/ possibly some kind of island hobo who found a suitcase with a suit/ a passenger on the plane/ but he didn't want to mix with the savages (aka ppl not wearing suits)/ personification of death

| I've already seen the episode where Locke being able to walk gets some kind of explanation. I'm just going through it like it's the first time I've seen it. | |

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/225-television-broadcast-tv I don't trust GF to not ruin it for me. As long as you stay in your topic, nothing would be spoiled. Most people there love watchthroughs of any show and the TV board is a very decent board. And wouldn't it be a better watchthrough topic if you could share your thoughts with people who have actually watched the show? Also, Sarbud and Goldninja might show up here again.

| Episode 5: White Rabbit
Jack episode. Well, that's one mystery crossed off the list already. The man in the suit Jack saw in the last episode was his dad. Looks like he's hallucinating, what with the exhaustion and dehydration and all. His dad died in Sydney and his coffin was on the flight. Jack found the coffin, but his dad's body was gone. So one mystery replaces another.
Jack's dad sure is a bit of an asshole though. You should hear his inspirational speeches. "I'm a doctor and I save people and I pick myself up when I fall and even when people die and I can carry going because I'm great and I have what it takes. Son, you don't have what it takes." Dick.
Boon also stole the remaining water because he wanted to be in charge or something. He seems like an asshole. Charlie and Claire are getting closer. Locke is still mysterious. He has a big mysterious speech about how the island is special and about how he looked into the eye of the island and so forth.
Mysteries: 1) What the hell is that giant thing that's running around the jungle? 2) Why is there a polar bear on a tropical island? 3) How come Locke can walk now when he couldn't before? 4) Who was that guy in the suit? 4a) Where is Jack's dad's body?
Ansswers: 4) The guy in the suit was a hallucination of Jack's dad.

| I'm glad you don't see Locke seeing the eye of the island as a mystery, because it won't get answered. | |
