Never seen a single episode of this before. Just watched the first one. I never knew they took the exact same story line, characters, and even the same jokes straight from the original. Hopefully that doesn't last long.

That's like, nearly every US adaptation of a British series within the last decade.

I knew there was a reason I never watched the US versions of UK things.

Only the first episode was done like that. It was so incredibly bad that they immediately went into a completely different direction.

Finished season 1. It was okay, but I really don't like Dwight.

Season 2 is a major improvement.

Season 2 episode 1 was the first episode that I couldn't imagine happening in the original show. It suited the upbeat intro more too.

I can get t he first 4 seasons of this for about £30. Depending on how good season 2 is I might just go for it.

God, Dwight's like a cartoon version of Gareth.

The whole show is pretty much a cartoon now. Michael is just too stupid. I enjoy his relationship with Dwight though. He's so open about not liking him, and I don't like him either.

Okay, just got to the episode whe Michael accidentaly grilled his foot because he likes to wake up to the smell of bacon. This is so go damn bizarre and unreal and not funny. I mean, what the hell?

Season 2 is definitely worse than season 1 so far, even with the really bad first episode.

And he stuck his foot in machine at the end. No one would do that. I'm amazed at how fast this show dropped any pretence of realism.

It was funny and completely in character for someone like Michael.

The Injury is one of the most popular episodes of the entire series.

Quote :
IGN ranked the scene with Dwight getting in a car accident as its seventh best moment in the first two seasons,[8] Rolling Stone has the same scene as the 20th funniest in The Office's first three seasons.[9] TV Squad's Michael Sciannamea said that "The Injury" was "another solid episode" and that the "show gets better with each and every week." [10] M. Giant of Television Without Pity graded the episode with an "A-".[11] In a poll done by OfficeTally.com, an Office fansite, "The Injury" was ranked as the third best episode of the second season by voters.[12] On Officetally, this episode was voted fans all time favorite episode from Seasons 1-5. B.J. Novak stated in an interview that it was his all-time favorite episode of the show.

I should probably just stop watching then if that's considered a highpoint.

Might do. Might stick with The Office. Maybe the "bad" seasons will actually turn out to be good, since season 1 is supposed to be one of the bad ones.

The bad seasons are considered bad because every character becomes flanderized to hell.

AKA they become even more cartoony than they already are.

It's actually quite good now. The second half of the season has been much more sensible and rooted in the office.
