I can't have her as a companion because the game is bullshit. I got veronica but she kept stealing my kills so I killed her. ED-E is the only companion that understands me.

EDE was pretty much my companion from beginning to end. Rex is alright but you get him a lot later and i'd developed an attachment to EDE and his ability to sense stuff.

Finished the story playing for the Legion. It was actually a lot more fun than my first playthrough as Mr. House/Yes Man once the end missions kicked in. The final battle was amazingly tough on very hard and I died so many time I thought I wouldn't be able to finish it (I wasn't actually working with the best weapons and was level 26). I ran out of doctors bags halfway through the bunker so by the time I finished everything my entire body was crippled. I could have avoided the whole last fight with 100 speech but I didn't have that.
Gonna do the NCR now and level up to 50 while I do all of the DLC. Everyone on the F:NV Gfaqs board says there isn't going to be a GotY edition btw so it looks like you'll have to shell out all that money if you want to play them.

At the Request of BD I am gonna give my opinion into the DLC since I'm a shmuck and purchased them all.
First, Gun Runners' Arsenal. This is pretty cheap ($4) has 5 more trophies and it adds a bunch of new weapon, many of them unique. There are a bunch of new mods but they can only go onto the DLC weapons. There are some cool unique ones like a silenced 10 mm machinegun, a katana, a flamer that shoots giant blue fireballs, etc. they are all for purchase and are generally around 20-30 K in caps. Gives you something to spend all that on I guess. Also there is a new perk as well. Which allows you the ability to craft nuka-grenades, tin grenades, and fat-mines (yes mini nuke mines).
It also adds a bunch of challenges too which are actually pretty tough. Killing deathclaws with boxing tape is quite challenging. A lot are related to killing story characters like Mr. House, Caesar, Pres. Kimball with certain weapons, but I found some of them pretty difficult, expecially the 3 star ones.
I'd recommend it because the guns it adds are so cool that they now comprise of most of my arsenal. I was around Novac when I got the DLC so it was a little more practicle. If you are at end-game with no quests or anything to do it's not really worth it unless you plan on starting a new game. Also my game seems to lag even more frequently (didn't think it was possible) wit hthe add-on. Could just be me though my save is only about 8K and starts lagging like it's twice the size sometimes. In a few hours here expect my opinion on Dead Money.

i liked dead money, was pretty challenging compared to everything else i did in new vegas. i didn't like the fact you couldn't go back after you complete it, though.
mostly curious about old world blues and lonesome road now

DEAD MONEY - 6/10
The first half an hour of this DLC was amazing. Sneaking around trap invested areas and making the game pretty much survival horror, I thought it was going to be awesome. It quickly grew stale though. The story and everything was actually really interesting (imo) so that was drive enough for me to go on, but the very begining of the DLC was great, then it got really stale, and then after going into the casino it got better.
The ghost people were actually a little scary when they got the jump on you plus the environments were very bleak. I had no idea you had to dismember them to kill them at first so I ran out of ammo and was getting ass raped because they would get up every time I thought I killed em.
I felt a little cheated though as the DLC was built around trap avoidance and I already had Light Step going in, though this would have pissed me off if I didn't; I know that for a fact. The environemt was good at first but the Villa got really bland after it turned out every area was pretty much the same. The casion was enjoyable though. The whole slave-collar getting killed when too close to radio things got annoying but it wasn't too bad and it was a nice litle puzzle element.
tl;dr This DLC was very enjoyable story-wise but it got repetative with bland, maze-like envirnments and some trial and error puzzles. Took me about 7 hours and I had a decent pace while still being semi-thourough. I don't know if it's worth 10 bucks but it was decent.

HONEST HEARTS - 7/10
This DLC, in contrast to the first one, actually had really awesome, lush environments to be in.The change of scenary and everything helped make it feel less dull as it went on. It didn't get that stale for me seeing as it was shorter (about 5 hours) and more areas to explore and there were actually a few side quests, one of which consisted of dropping acid and fighting an flaming giant Yao Gui. The normal ones were pretty deadly, that one was a little out of control.
As for difficulty, the DLC tailored to your level this time so seing as I went in at level 39 things were pretty powerful and the enemies were equipped out there ass. I'm not sure how a tribe of people that can't even survive on their own has access to a bunch of anti-material rifles but they do.
It was a good story, especially because I thought the whole Burned Man myth was cool in the main game. Seeing what he's up to now was awesome and he's a bad ass. You get him as a companion and he's as lethal as Boone, only he uses a .45 desert eagle. There was a little unmarked side quest that invovled finding remnants of a guy called "the Survivalist" and that was literally the coolest part of the side quest. His story was an awesome one and if you don't get the DLC I'd go to the wiki and read it.
While there was a lot to explore the main story of the DLC was very sort in comparison to Dead Money but the environment and characters (basically The Survivalist and Joshua Graham) made up for it. Most of the missions were just fetch quests saying to go to this place and pick that up. I really wish they varied it more. All in all it was enjoyable and I had more fun on this one than Dead Money.

Old World Blues - 9/10
This DLC was by far the best I've played so far. Unlike Dead Money, it stuck to the series strong points of exploration and interesting landmarks and unlike Honest Hearst, Big MT (where the DLC takes place) is larger and there is actually a reason to visit places as most places had some sort of unique treasure that made it worthwhile. I went to ever location on the map, did every side quest and it took me about 11 hours to finish so it definitely was worth $10.
It added the level cap/more perks/new guns/etc. like all the other DLC but these weapons were a lot more badass. Being able to find a unique silenced sniper rifle was pretty cool as was the gun that shoots out soundwaves (you can change them from opera singer, dog, scorpion and a few others, each with their own perk). Then there is the Stealth Suit that gives you +25 stealth, +1 perception, +1 agility, and doubles your movement speed when crouching.
Probably the best part of the DLC was how funny it was. Literally this add-on is fucking hilarious. There were some parts that had me actually laughing. The doctors in the Think Tank were great, especially the one voiced by Dr. Venture, and the appliances you collect in your base of operations are too good. The toaster bent on world destruction had me going pretty good.

One thing though, this DLC is hard. I mean fucking intense hard. While it sports the two hardest enemies in the game (I dare any of you to take on the Legendary Bloatfly), just the normal enemies were crazy. The roboscorbions are intense, the nighstalkers were hardcore, and the normal human enemies all had brush guns and other hard hitting weapondry. Now I'm about 99% certain the DLC scales to your level and the fact that I was level 45 means that they were probably only that hard because of how high level-ed I was, but this is without a doubt the hardest of anything I've seen offered from Fallout 3 & NV. The challenge was nice though. It was a good change of pace nowing that I couldn't just role in with my Anti-Material rifle and storm the place.
I would definately recommend this over the other ones I've play (Lonesome Road excluded since I haven't played it yet). It just generally all around is better than those other two. Plus I love how all the DLC are interconnected story-wise and it really built up well for the ultimate showdown that wil be taking place in Lonesome Road.

You mean there are enemies that don't die in one hit to a melee character? I might actually get this one, I modded the vanilla game to have stronger enemies and I could still instakill anything with a ballistic fist or Oh Baby!

I went in with armer that had DT at 25, fully repaired, and it took less than an hour of enemy encounters to totally break it. I was only able to take about 5-6 shots before I was dead. IT was frustrating at times but it really made you have to switch up weapons. You NEED to use things strong against robots on robots, strong against armor when they have armor, etc. If you have a stealth character it will be easier though if you sneak and don't try to kill everything.
I generally use anything I want because I have an uber character that has 100 in guns, energy weapons and melee with 75 in explosives and unarmed, and I was still getting my ass kicked up and down the map anytime I tried to head on assult enemies. The only real healing items in the DLC are plants and nuka/sunset sass' so bring some stimpacks too.

Lonesome Road - 7.5/10
This one was very different from the other DLC's and it really is the true ending of the game. I mean you actually find out who the Courier is and some back story. The story in this is pretty good. Very bad ass ending regardless of what choices you make. This DLC wraps up the whole story about the two couriers and you finally get to see Ulysses and what his motives are. I gotta say story-wise this is the best one of the four but that was to be expected since it is essentially the ending.
One thing I liked was after some back-story, you learn that you aren't just some random postman that is for some strange reason really badass and deadly. The Couriers are like an organization like the assassins or some equally cool organitzation. It was a little weird after going from the comical and light-hearted OWB to this super serious DLC though. Oh and there is also ED-E backstory which was better than I thought it would be. Plus once you do his side-quest he because a complete killing machine/handy man as he can make ammo for you and fix weapons and stuff.
This DLC was different as it was linear. Basically you have a path to follow to the end instead of open worlds. There are still places to discover and loot but they aren't really that big and they are on the path to the final confrontation. This DLC took me about 6 hours to finish so it was easily the shortes of the 4 DLC. It worked I guess though I was really into the Divide, the desolte and competely destroyed area this DLC takes place in.
This DLC was pretty difficult which is fun because I rape things in the Mojave. The Deathclaws will OHKO you and there are a lot of them. The supe-ghoul enemies have some bad-ass weaponry (AMRs, Red Glares, the new burst fire missle launcher, etc.) Plus there is radiation everywhere. There are some places that if you aren't rad awayed and wearing good appearal you will see 20-40 rads per sec (though the highest I saw out side this place was 7).
I liked it and to be honest the DLC story lines felt like they are better than the main game . If you were only gonna get two, play Old World Blues and Lonesome Road. Really they should all be played but the bulk of the backstory happens in those two.
In my opinion I'd rank the DLC as follows - OWB > LR > HH > DM

There had been speculation that there wasn't because Bethesda said they lose money on complete editions. Look like the decided to go ahead with it anyway.

I'm enjoying the game from what I've played of it. The mechanics are good and story isn't too shabby.

This game is fucking great. Unfortunately it suffers from Bethesda Syndrome. Once you get over like an 8 mb save file the game essentially breaks.

Will that happen during the story? Because I never had a problem with Oblivion just going through the story.

PRobably not. The main game is extremely short. Like 15 hours.
