You should aim for the weapon in close combat. That's what I usually do, and it's good unless you wanna pick it up and use it.

killed someone and found a sniper rifle, this doesn't seem to be too useful in VATS though but i guess + sneak i can get criticals without VATS.

I'm currently in Arefu looking for the family i managed to find a boble head in Evan kings house after i broke in. Considering the amount of stealing i'm doing i'm suprised i'm considered good.

That fire ants quest was stupidly hard so i gave up and did something else. Still i just love exploring this place. I also think i'll probably appreciate certain points of oblivion now as well in a weird way i like both games but i can appreciate there differences and how they work in there diff settings.

Yeah, level up a bit and go back to rape those damned ants.

I hate that quest. Bryan Wilks is annoying, and I hate fighting ants.

Does anyone bother with the speech challenges much?

I can completely see me having to go out of my way on another playthrough to get 50. I've been playing for hours and suceeded in 1 i think.

it can help get you free stuff in some cases but personally i focus mainly on other stuff

It looks like its bad karma most of the way as generally your lyng occasionally you ask for more money either way seems kinda pointless to builld a character centred on that.

Talking is for suckers, I let my gun do the talking. Na not really I just do whatever anyone tells me to do, and generally choose the good options, unless i really dislike a character i.e. Moriarty I hacked and lockpicked my way through all his shit.

i forgot in some quests it lets you get unique items you can't get otherwise

though the ones i got don't seem worthwhile

the only one i remember is the one where you witness two retards battling in the middle of a settlement. one who controls giant ants and one who uses robots.

i forget there names but it is very comic-like

oh wait you might be able to take there stuff if you kill them....

but i think you're suppose to come to a peaceful conclusion in that quest

Well, for example, there is one quest to the far north which, depending on how you fulfill it, can result in either A) a unique perk that increases your damage resistence, B) two unique items, C) two different unique items, or D) everybody trying to kill you.

A different quest, wherein you seek out the identity of a hiding android, can result in jack diddly besides experience, a unique plasma gun, or a unique perk. I can't remember if there is a way to get both the gun and the perk if you play your cards right.

That's all that comes to mind off the top of my head.

Energy Guns and Small Guns are what I most perfered.

I don't get how you can collect armour from incinerated bodies. Also the laser rifle and pistol seem really weak are there better ones?

Yeah, there are better ones. It also has to do with your energy weapon stat.

Fuck I wish I didn't trade this in...

There is another version of the Laser pistol, but I have no idea if its any stronger.
They seem fine to me. When I don't want to use anything important I'd use my Laser Pistol/Rifle.

Espeicially for weaker enemies like Yao-Guis, Raiders, Mole Rats, Mirelurks, etc.

i got loads of guns but nothing unique at the moment that i can think of. No idea how you could trade in a game like this its way too good.

I know a couple of secret items I can tell you about.

Well heres two that are hidden apparently:

The Lincoln's Reapter and the Armor in the robot facility.
Well for the armor it depends on wether or not you've completed "You Got To Shoot Them In The Head." For the LR, you have to go in the museum the Underworld is located at, but instead of going in the underworld, you must go through the other door. After fighting hordes of ghouls there will be this library and a pair of stairs. If you check around up-stairs there should be a case and in the case is one of the game's secret weapons. The Lincoln's Repeater. Imagine the Hunting Rifle with a 10x power boost.

Yeah, I generally just trade in games when I haven't played them for ages. So far this is the only one I regret.

I never trade in fun games or games with a decent co op mode, i never know who i'll be living with or who'll come around so its good to have stuff like that.

The really long games are decent to give another playthrough at a later date i.e. fallout, oblivion, yakuza 3. There too long to play again there and then but good enough to warrant it.
