I do it randomly, I sometimes try to do an HP combo THEN activate. But sometimes, I just whip it out and shoot an arrow.....oh, Right. Not everybody mains Firion. XD
Has anyone ever went to dodge or something but accidentally go EX Mode instead. -_- I've done twice so far.

Not many people use Firion because Straightarrow is far too slow to be effective towards more powerful enemies. Weaponmaster is a much better technique and Shield Bash will do you good for most of the game.
