If you excuse the obnoxious intro sequence, I found a fairly thorough inFamous fan review.

Superhero?
Bullshit. Other normal enemies have the same power as him, that defeats the point of being SUPER.
Electricity is boring?
This man clearly doesn't know shit about Electro.

Superhero?
He kills innocent people for fuck's sake.
If anything, He's an Anti-Hero.

Yeah, I didn't neccessarily agree with everything he said. Since when is electricity boring? "Earth" is boring; let's see someone try to make rock and dirt appear cool... y'know, BESIDES the Earthbenders in "Avatar".
And yeah... "superhero" in the loosest sense of the term. "Superhuman", perhaps, but "hero" is totally optional. *decides to be evil*

Well, I learned several important things.
1: Falling into the water both kills you and changes your Karma. XD (Atleast, That's what happened with me.)
2: 3-4 Shotgun blasts and you're dead. X_X
3: I suck at Free-Aim.
3.5: People are so fucking stupid! GET THE FUCK OUT MY LINE OF FIRE! *gets shot and dies again*
4: White Enemies have Powers too. And they know how to use them to piss me off.
5: Being evil is MUCH more satisfying than being "Good". Nothing makes me feel better than to Pimp Smack some random ped for getting in my way and my way and Leech his...his...Whatever I'm leeching off him.
6: I can grind on Rail Road Tracks! Wheeeee!!! *a glitch happens while switching tracks and I go soaring into the water again* Oh, Mother Fucker!
7: Hit the water three times and I have to watch a trailer and start over again.
Anyhow, The Demo is cool. It'll tide me over until I get the real thing...Sometime after I get Prototype.

Just to reiterate; it's not a bad game, it's just not what I was expecting. It seems short on genuinely new ideas, and the game totally fails at making you feel like a superpowered anti-hero. Several enemies also have super powers, and your abilities are restricted by the controls (which I still don't like).
It's not a bad game, just not as good as I thought it would be, and I'm sure that when Prototype rolls in, then it'll show us just how limited this is. I hope so anyway.

It doesn't seem any different. That's why it's disappointing. You're given a gun disguised as a super power. And only being able to shoot while aiming sounds like a bad idea.
In some game you have a gun that shoots lightning.

Am I the only one NOT look at it as a "superhero" game?
It's a third-person shooter with an electricity theme and Assassin's Creed movement. That, in and of itself, sounds pretty cool to me. I don't expect the next Spiderman or whatever; I just expect a fun ride.

But it is a superhero (or supervillain) game. The MC is superhuman, is he not? He shoots lightning, he can fly a limtied distance, he can jump ten feet in the air...That's one of the big problems I had with the demo; it fails to draw you into that power, and, as Nonny alluded to, you could replace MCs power with guns and 90% of the time it'd make no difference. The combat system pales in comparison to the likes of Crackdown, Saints Row 2, and even Assassin's Creed.
In fact, I've just played the above three games briefly. Infamous has better graphics than SR2, but not AC or Crackdown, but all three older games implement the combat far better than Infamous, even AC, which is allegedly a stealth driven game. Actually, having come from AC to Infamous, the level design comes into question; ACs sprawling maps are a joy to play around in, Infamous' are not, everything looks drab.
Did you ever play Force Unleashed? It wasn't a great game (though it was certainly very enjoyable short term), but it did a great job of making you feel very powerful, and the MCs various skills were integrated sensibly into the battles, both of which are features not present in the demo here.
I could go on, but I've surely made my point by now. Infamous isn't a bad game, it just feels very derivative and every aspect is inferior to at least half a dozen other titles from the past three or so years. Maybe the full game will change my mind? I'll certainly rent it to check it out, but my opinion of the demo is still a very disappointed 'meh'.

I would play the Demo again if Sucker Punch didn't make you sit through the opening cutscene again.

Well, I finally got around to playing the demo, and...
Mmmmmehhhhhhhhhhhh... (-___-)
I mean, it was fun at first, but it becomes boring REALLY quick. Not to mention it starts to become quite tricky... difficult, even. Mainly due to the impecible accuracy of the enemy shooters; I have NEVER seen ANY enemy in ANY game shoot as precisely as they do... and I'm counting turrets as well!
I didn't find the controls a problem, but... *shrug* eh. It becomes boring way too quick and trickier all the quicker. Let's just say I've scratched this game from my birthday wishlist.

Well it is being made by the guys who made Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.
Then again, Sucker Punch made this and I was expecting a lot from it. I hope for the best.

Try playing against humans on Call of Duty games.

Just in case there was any doubt of it anymore, Prototype > inFamous. In fact, that doesn't even come close to conveying the gap between them. Prototype is in a different league entirely.
