| I'll be interested to see the new powers. Realistically speaking, they're going to be MOAR POWARFUL than in the last game. Which means flashy lightning shows. Which is good. | |

| Well from the scans it looks like he has a new staff weapon thingy. | |

| Hopefully that will be more useful than those Gigawatt Blades. Which really were useless. | |

I read that he has a range of melee options this time, maybe via picking up enemy weapons and electrifying them or something.

| I never warmed to inFamous, but this does look rather more like living up to the promise of the premise. Well, as long as they sort out the clunky controls anyway. | |

| I quite liked Infamous, but there is definitely some things that need fixing. | |

| My biggest gripe was the one that was apparent in the demo; that the game still played as though Cole was carrying a gun. The combat system at no point made you feel super powered, and when compared to the instant gratification available in Prototype, inFamous just felt second best.
This does look lots better though, especially as Cole looks more normal.

| Yeah, it did just feel like you had a bunch of weapons rather than superpowers, but my biggest gripe was with the control and animation. They really need to make the animation look more natural, and they really need to give the player more control over what Cole grabs on to. Once you jump, Cole pretty much has a mind of his own and will grab the first thing he passes, which is pretty damn annoying.
Some of the auto-control ideas were nice though. Cole will stop if you run towards a roof edge for example, so it's impossible to fall off a building by accident. You have to jump from an edge to clear it. Cole would somewhat guide himself towards things you could land too. Which was sometimes annoying, but mostly helpful.

| The animation only really bothered me when Cole was climbing. Seriously, he looked like a retarded monkey. In any case, with regards to the 'grabbing' issue, couldn't they just use a grab button like Prototype did? Incidentally, I swear that's the last time I'll ever mention Prototype in a topic about inFamous. Maybe.
And yes, the controls were awful. Yes, you got used to them but they never felt intuitive, unlike that other game... you know the one. Ha, I can do it.

| Prototype had control issues too. The air dash for one. Aiming that thing accurately was damn near impossible. But you only really needed it for getting the best times on the races.
Infamous side missions were good too, since they actually fit in with the context of the story. The core gameplay of Prototype is better than that of Infamous, but Infamous had better story and mission structure, and just better production values in general.

| Honestly, I don't mind the new look. I think it's better than buzzcut.
I wish they didn't change the voice though. If they had that voice from the start it'd be fine, but changing the voice halfway just doesn't make sense.

| It doesn't look anymore like Prototype than the first game did, apart from the mutant enemies. | |

| No it's not. It's the same animation from the first game by the look of it. He sticks his arms out and tucks his legs up a bit. Mercer just full on sprawled out flat in the air. | |
