On that note, at this point the translation has changed yet again. Luffy is back to Luffy, but some other terms have are now untranslated, or translated different. Like on that page, Mr. 2 says he's gay, but now he calls himself "okama", like I said. The 7 Gods of Pirates is now some Japanese term too.

Okama means crossdresser or transvestite.

7 Gods of Pirates = Shichibukai. The correct translation for Schichibukai is 7 Warlords of the Sea.

A note in the fanslation said that the literal translation was "group of 7 of the sea" or something. So instead of coming up with an english equivalent, the guy just kept the japanese.

A translator from APforums called the Norwegian translation the worst one out there. Worse than Viz.

Just got started on volume 20. It's properly picking up speed now. They sure do spend a long damn time in Alabasta before anything really happens.

And Oda's pacing is pretty awful. Although more Crocodile is never a bad thing.

I imagine it'd drag terribly if the characters weren't as good as they. Also...

Aww, that would have been neat.

Usopp is, and will always be, the weakest member of the crew.

But it would have been cool to give some interesting power that he didn't know about for some reason. He could discover it and save the day or something. It'd be totally unexpected and really obvious at the same time.

i take him as an insight in what it would be for a 'normal' person being on the crew and i like it that way
