They were only easy if you'd put in around 70 hours of levelling up your materia, otherwise you had no chance. There's not much comparison to P4's bosses really, as they occur duing regular gameplay whereas Emerald/Ruby Weapon were optional bosses added in for extra challenge.

I was level 26 when I beat him. Not that hard once you beat Nice Guy, you just need a tactic.

Have MC use Rakunda on Nice Guy, have yousuke use Dekaja every turn, have Chie use Rampage (she learns it pretty early, plus she has lots of HP), and have Yukiko heal, since she has so much SP. Guard when Sahdow kanji uses Power Charge.

After Nice Guy is defeated, concentrate on Shadow Kanji. Ignore Tough Guy. Have MC use Rakunda on Shadow Kanji, and let the rest use elemental area attacks (Mabufu, Mazio, Magaru, Maragi). Guard when he uses Power Charge and heal when he uses his electric attack. Might wanna equip Yousuke with Volt Suppressor since he's weak to electricity.

Out of interest, and with carefully marked spoilers as appropriate, what is everyone's preferred party?

MC/Naoto/Teddie/Chie

Mainly because this team provides me some challenge. And yes Simian, you are.

I didn't like having Teddie on my team as his S link was way behind all my other mains. While they were all maxed fairly quickly, his is story driven, and thus he was less useful in combat, even given his strength. Chie featured a lot earlier on, and Galactic Punt won me a few cheap rounds, but I dropped her once Kanji rolled up, and Naoto's light / dark spells seemed largely useless as most end game enemies are immune to them.

...wait til you get to the last two dungeons where almost every enemy is susceptible to them.

Meh. My MC has three or four Persona who can use them too, so I'll just use him. He has more SP than Naoto anyway.

I'd rather use Naoto for it. Especially after I get her the ring from the extra boss in Heaven. I can use my MC for elemental crap. Teddie is there for healing, ice spells, and Matarukaja. And Chie is there to fucking trample everything in her way.

Oh, that was so satisfying.

Shadow Yukiko gave me such a hard time 1st time around, so I was quite looking forward to our New Game + rematch, only this time I bought Yoshitsune to the party. Power Charge + Primal Force = Instant win. She got one move off, which the MC nulled completely, then she was down in seconds.

I paid a tenner for Persona 4 and I've got over 100 hours out of it. That's 10p an hour. Pretty good value for money I'd say!

So the game just said that I feel "faint love" (or something) from Yukiko. How come that happens, but I don't enter a lovers relationship?

The 'Intimate relationships' only come from one choice in the social link chain, and only when you're fairly late on, around 8 or 9 if memory serves. It doesn't sound like you're quite there yet!

Actually that's from Yukiko. Except for two S. Links, they just outright ask you if you wanna date.

P.S. The Two S. Links are Ai and Naoto and you have to work for it if you wanna date either of them.

They don't 'ask' you, but it's pretty obvious which choice it should be. Rise, for instance, gets all upset over some pissy thing and you can either hug her, which initiates the Lovers relationship, or stand and watch the whiny cow cry.
