well some sports i don't have access to play
i do like tennis and golf games not an avid fan or anything
but i do like them
i am absolutely crap at tennis hence i don't play it that often in reality
golf i just don't have access to the facilities

i do play football occasionally, but you never get to have a full scale match so it is nice to play the game occasionally

but with a lot of sport games its n o access to the facilities and some i can't play i.e. ice hockey so games are good
and simply i prefer to goto the gym to exercise as arranging sports matches is difficult as you get older
but i did play sport constantly at your age

I don't go out of my way to play or watch sports, I don't see the attraction of running around with a bunch of sweaty guys. However, I do respect the people who do put effort into playing it, it just shows how humans can achieve high limits if they try. On the other hand, I don't think they should be paid millions. MAYBE a hundred or two (Dollars, not thousands or millions) per game, but why the HELL would they be paid more than someone important such as a teacher or firefighter?

While I do respect those who try, I find people who WATCH sports to be lazy assholes. Seriously, sports were made as a form of exercise - To lose weight, gain friends, conquer rivals, etc. Not to sit on your fat ass eating some fucking nachos. It's a POLAR opposite >.>

yeah i get that
but as you seem to be put off by the sweaty guys
then doesn't removing all that to you seem more fun? i.e. by playing a video game
and i do completely agree with how much they get paid being ridiculous
personally i'm not a huge sports game fan but it doesn't mean that i necessarily think they are bad games

for me the most pointless games are those olympic games where you have to tap buttons to make a guy run faster (not sure if they even still make them)
i also find the whole wii sports thing redundant as i don't think any wii motions really feel anything like the actual sport

I'm not put off by sweaty guys, simply not turned on

Sports games in general suck. Although maybe that's because I have no interest in sports.

Having said that, the Virtua Tennis games are usually quite good. World Tour for the PSP is one I still play from time to time.
