Dub Vegeta: It’s hard to tell if he has become stronger now or weaker.

Kid Buu’s first rampage originally happened when humans just started walking on two legs. In the dub it was many eons ago.

Grand Kaioshin’s name has been changed to Dai Kaio. Not only is that just the Japanese name for the GRAND Kaio, but why are they suddenly going with Kaio instead of Kai? It makes no sense (again).

Here is the conversation between Old Kaioshin and East Kaioshin about Kid Buu’s power.

Old Kaioshin: That little Majin Boo now is the very first, most difficult one, then?
East Kaioshin: Yes. His heart, which through absorbtion had allowed his power to even be reduced, has returned back to its original form. To an existence without any self-control, of evil itself.

Elder Kai: They weakened him. Yes... when he absorbed the Kais... it brought his power down. I thought the opposite was true.
Kibito Kai: This Buu is even more powerful. And without the influence of the Kais’ goodness inside of him he’s evil. Pure unrestrained evil.

I don’t see how this in any way proves Kid Buu>Super Buu. Unless I missed a conversation. Or it still has to come.

I thought it was spelled "Buu"

Both Viz and Stephen Simmons spell it Boo. The dub and games use Buu.

Same with Freeza and Frieza, basically.

English title: “Vegeta’s Respect”

Vegeta has an inner monologue in the original where he’s surprised by how hard a hitter Buu is and how he’s amazed at how Goku could take him on. The dub just has regular Sabat grunts. Of course, later on in the speech Vegeta again mentions how amazing Goku is and what not so it’s not a big deal.

Dub Goku is way too hard on Mr. Satan. In the original, he says he should’ve stayed in hiding.

FUNi did their homework this time. They have Bora mention how Goku saved him from death and that he still has his scar from back then. This dialogue wasn’t in the original, so FUNi went out of their way to look up who all these people were.

Dub Goku monologues too much about Buu’s light, Buu’s darkness, Buu’s inner struggle, Buu’s outer struggle, the wrongness of killing and all that other stuff the dub’s famous for.

I think it’s weird how they changed Videl’s VA for the timeskip. Seems kind of unneccesary.

English title: “Buu’s Reincarnation”

Mo Kekko’s name is changed to Wild Tiger. Kirano’s name is changed to Narric.

Mister Boo is just called Buu.

Knock’s accent is annoying, just like every other accent.

The dub doesn’t mention that Mo Kekko/Wild Tiger lost in the previous semifinals to Mister Boo, nor that he is 2.30 meters tall.

Dub Goku is way, way more insulting to Uub than he is in the original.

DBZ episode 291

Japanese title: “Even Stronger!! Goku’s Dream is Super-Huge”
English title: “Goku’s Next Journey”

The very last minute of the series is definitely better in the dub, thanks to New Earth Song playing and the epic narration by Kyle Hebert.
