| Close range? I can tell you haven't unlocked the "Send It" yet. | |

| I haven't unlocked anything on it yet, been focussing on Last Word. Looking at the stats, the Send It perk seems to be a relatively minor boost to range. I was going to go with Perfect Balance, as I did with Thorn, which almost eliminates recoil entirely. | |

| Invective is outranged by a lot of shotguns actually, it just compensates by being able to fire two or three times as fast as anything else so you can twoshot people easily.
When you do the fusion rifle kills part of the PI bounty do not play the nightfall mission normally. Go to another place on the map where you can fight nightfall tier enemies and you can safely kill them without worrying about being sent to orbit if you die, they also respawn after a while.

| The Shadow Price I unlocked from the engram is really good, the perks are different from the version of the gun sold by the vanguard. The bottom half of the magazine causes extra damage and it causes extra damage when reloaded. It hits hard and has really good rate of fire and excellent stability. | |

I thought Invective and some green or blue shotgun had the highest range stat. Other shotguns may have the Hammer Forged perk which increases their range, but it's inferior to Invective and Found Verdict's Send It. - SimianWonder wrote:

Shadow Price, Grim Citizen and Vanquisher are great autorifles. They have the same RoF and Impact as an unupgraded Suros Regime (which is better than an upgraded one in Crucible). Unfortunately Glass Half Full isn't as good as it sounds. The extra damage is minimal and makes no difference. What are the other perks?

| I feel like I've been oneshot by the comedian and some other legendary shotgun at higher range than invective can, I assume they had range perks though. Either way invective is by far the most fun shotgun to use, I occasionally swap back to my sunbreakers to get better reload speed on it which pretty much makes it perfect.
Why don't you like the Suros upgrades? The slow fire upgrade turns it into a slightly weaker, but higher RoF, VoC.

| I don't own a Suros, but I've heard that without the focused fire perk it actually kills faster so, since the attack stat doesn't matter in the Crucible, it's more useful in most cases to leave it unupgraded. As for the VoC, I sucked with that weapon in PvP. I regret not buying a Suros because autorifles are easier to use.
Also, I noticed that only 1 or 2 players were using the Last Word today and Suros is once again the most popular exotic primary. I didn't see that coming.

| I guess we just play differently, I always feel overpowered and generally top scoreboards with a Suros or VoC. A nerf to both of those weapons wouldn't be unfair, though I hope it doesn't happen. | |

| To be honest, I've never felt threatened by VoC users. Suros gives me more trouble, but facing the following weapons is as bad, if not worse;
Thorn (damn you mark of the devourer) Last Word (beats or goes even at worst with any weapon except for fusion rifles and the heavy), Hawkmoon (due to the random damage bonus), Invective and Found Verdict (absurd range and full auto; I hate shotguns in general though), fusion rifles with good charge rate like Plan C, Light/Beware, Purifier or Helios (absurd range and speed), Pocket Infinity (basically unstoppable at close range) and heavy weapons, especially the Truth (since they've an easy time killing other heavy weapon users and keep getting more ammo).
Pocket Infinity in particular is a nightmare in some stages. I wouldn't mind if it was nerfed again.

| The thing with VoC/Suros is that they hit so hard and have so much stability and accuracy, it's fairly easy to just drill people in the head and kill in 4-5 shots, about the same amount of time it takes to fire the 3~ hand cannon shots it takes to kill someone (Hawkmoon bonus damage makes 2 headshots kill, so it's technically faster, but that will only happen 23% of the time). Suros being the most popular weapon in the game, even after a significant nerf to headshot damage, isn't surprising. You should buy one next time Xur has it, I'd probably use it constantly if I didn't have weapons I find more fun to use. | |

| I couldn't get the headshots consistently with VoC so I ended up losing to Suros users or my enemies would hide behind cover before I could finish them off. My problem was basically my aim. VoC, and all the legendary scout rifles with identical RoF and Impact, have practically the same RoF as Thorn and the Last Word. However, Thorn needs 2 less hits for a kill (and trolls the enemies trying to go into cover) and TLW can fire rapidly and has almost no recoil (and 2 headshots from hipfire are enough to kill!). Those two are certainly deadlier than VoC, and Suros imo, which is fine considering they are exotics.
Speaking of scout rifles, I still haven't tried MIDA in PvP. If my aim was better, it'd be better than VoC. And what is going on with pulse rifles? I never see those in PvP.

| Pulse rifles are just bad, the entire weapon class needs a buff. The only exceptions I'm aware of are Red Death and The Strangers Rifle. | |

Just run into a Comedian user with stupid range. He had Full Auto, Hammer Forged and Rangefinder.

| I was only doing that run for the strange coins, so I'm happy to cheese just to get it out of the way. I don't like that Strike much.
Anyway, looks like a hell of a lot of tweaks in this update. Pity Dragon Age is out this week, so I'll likely be absorbed by that for the next hundred or so hours.

| Out of the remaining active members I think Chou is the only person I've never heard and possibly Sora, but IIRC that was more because I couldn't come on at the time he was in the chat.
Do you hate the sound of your voice Chou or is this an attempt at keeping an air of mystery?

That's a bit shit. It used to do... what, six ticks at 7 damage apiece?
