Oh, and stay away from Bad Juju and Super Good Advice's bounties. Those things suck.
i have the super good advice, it doesn't suck at all, imo its one of the best heavy machine guns in the game.

SGA's recoil is unbearable. It also doesn't help that Gjallarhorn is an exotic solar heavy weapon too; that's the weapon of choice for speedruns.

recoil is a bit ott but because i know that i counter it with aiming low & holding down, it works btw. Also almost all missed shots go right back into the chamber so you dont really waste them
E: Also i dont have the Gjallarhorn and you're comparing a rocket launcher to a machine gun

Presumably that speed kill video wasn't just one weapon unloading on a boss, it was the whole team (off screen) firing all at once? Still looked pretty insane.

Four people with Gjallarhorn according to the video description. I wish I had bought it from Xur, but I didn't have enough coins then.

It's not really fair to compare anything to Gjallarhorn, it's the best gun in the game.

Were I bring pedantic, I'd say it's the best weapon. It's not a gun per se.

I'm going to try tackling Xyur in a moment, once I've done the Daily. Anyone fancy giving me a (likely much-needed) hand?

I'll help.
You've to get some legendary or exotic weapons at this point. If your weapon's attack stat is lower than 280, you'll be doing less damage against level 28 enemies.

Precisely why I need this bounty!
I don't have any primary or special legendary or exotic weapons and while I do have a legendary HMG, ammo is scarce. My primary and specials weapons all cap out around the 240 damage mark, hence why I couldn't scratch the Nightfall enemies.

Chou, is the strike do-able with just two of us, bearing in mind how comparitively weak some of my weapons are? If nor, then I'll hold fire for Jay if that's ok with you guys?

Yeah, but we can wait for TTB if you want. It may be a bit easier with three players.

Yes, if that's okay with you, I'd like to wait for Jay. I don't want to get partnered with some random who runs in and starts wailing on Phogoth right at the end, however unlikely I hope that might be!

Mic set up (for the first time!), and I'm using an Arc fusion rifle and solar HMG. i'm going Sunsinger for added solar goodness and for self-res if required. Anything I need before we get started?

I shouldn't have spammed "delete message". It messed up PSN and gave me connection problems. And the messages weren't deleted.

It was harder than I expected. I thought that the number of players affected only the enemy's armor, but I'm pretty sure I wasn't taking that much damage when I did the mission on my own.

I've been reading online and quite a few people have said it's actually easier solo thanks to fewer enemies with less health. Still you both have my gratitude for the help in my moment of need.

I finally played with my Bladedancer in the Crucible and I felt like I was cheating. The grenades, blink and the super are very good and the invisibility gives them the upper hand in every encounter. Too bad that the class is crappy for PvE. I'm contemplating whether I should spend 20+ shards to get him to level 28 or make a second warlock.

Bladedancer (sort of) has a place in PvE, when I did my first Nightfall at level 26 we had one who would go invisible and be a revive bitch. Helped a lot.

I've used Patience and Time's invisibility to revive people as a warlock. It's not as good as Bladedancer's stalker though. Is the Gunslinger any better? I know that the super is more practical, but everything else looks worse.

Golden Gun is really good in the hard raid as oracles are harder to kill and I think it still oneshots them, it's also good for the praetorians. Gunslingers also have two stacking abilities that increase stability and reload speed when you get precision kills so they can be very powerful with guns like Thorn. Definitely a powerful PvE class but I do think Hunters in general seem much more geared towards PvP.

I wouldn't call Gunslinger a powerful subclass because the Golden Gun can't do critical hits and normally ends up being heavily outdamaged by a sniper rifle's precision shot.
